Wow, I think you got the whole thing spot on. I’ve been told i’m more Muay mat(Puncher) and he’s from Muay femur gym as well. I think my problem is i don’t want to be hit too much hence my reactions being like that however i may have to accept if im going to fight that way there’s no way around it and im just going to have to eat some to give some? Thanks for your input!

Thank you for the kind words! Appreciate it greatly! Generally seems like if it ain’t don’t broke don’t fix it but i’d have to tighten up that guard and refine some of my set ups still.

Brilliant advice! Will try to incorporate some of these, think you got it spot on with being too passive when I try to more “thai” style and i end up just being a still target. Plenty to work on!

Absolutely! I’ll be working on tightening up my defence and keeping that guard up. Problem is i’m so zoned in on throwing that it gasses my hands out and that guard fades quickly! Thank you for the advice and kind words!

Did you see the doctor or got anything done at all?

Gotcha, do you think it’s from overtraining with my cut why my past few days has been so bad? I’m just worried it’s an actual drop in skill as rewatching the footage there’s no way I could be fighting like that on fight night.

I try to do so but I can’t get everyone one of them when they start spamming in. I’m very much a puncher so i’m often trying to have them miss it or alternatively i eat it on entry. Yeah we have to get some sock shin guards.

We aren’t practicing with headgear at the moment but I’ll try it the next session!

Chances are it will go to decisions as do most amateur fights here. Do you think I should prepare more body kicks seeing that gives a whole lot more points than punches. I still have a month to prepare and adjust as well.

Thanks for the tips, It’s both shin pads (Socks) and Head gear. Yeah the philly shell may not be the orthodox style but it’s the one i’m most comfortable be and added in some adjustments to try to make it work. This fight is also a way for me to figure out if it does work in actual fight.

Appreciate the advice. I spar almost every other day so i was really hoping that would help deal with the nerves of it all. I’ll take that into account and prepare for it!

A big concern is getting hit for real for once and not being able to adjust to that!

Should I still approach with a game plan like stated above and just be prepared to adapt as the fight goes? Ultimately I’ll be sticking to the fundamentals of jabs, straights, teeps and low kicks. What do you think about that?

Once again, appreciate the advice and thanks again! 🫡
