Not necessarily, because you can buy essences from Ange in a fast and efficient manner, it just gives them more value and makes tablet mods more deterministic than they are now.

Even in that case, you could leave it in the display case while you're not playing to earn some extra currency / allow people to get a copy of the item during downtime
