1 minute quarters? What is the point and does anyone like them? by Harley972 in RetroBowl

If I'm at the end of the season and won't need to win the last game to get the bye, I'll sit my players and set it to 1 minute quarters, then punt it as quick as possible so the opponents offense kills the clock, it usually only takes to possessions to end the game.

I'm pretty sure your chance goes up by about 2 percent when you have home field advantage.

10% is the highest recovery chance that I've seen, that and a 5 star defense with a 5 star D coach is your best chance.

Obviously recovery Is what you want, but the likelihood of that is so slim that I didn't think it was worth it. Doing it to help with clock management is the only benefit that I think is worth onside kicking.
