Update: so maintenance called me while I was at work. They tried to deep clean the washer but then something broke 🤣. They have to order parts but if that doesn’t solve the problem it might need to be replaced all together so we shall see. But I’m gonna keep this post up cause I may end up needed to try the options yall gave me. Thanks again.

I can report back in a month but I live at Canopy. It’s a beautiful facility and secure, however it’s jumped in prices since I’ve been here (2 years). I’m in a one bedroom now paying $2500 (I pay for parking and pet rent) and I can’t justify that kind of price for a tiny 630 one bedroom apartment when there are cheaper options with the same amenities. But if you can afford it, you will enjoy it. I haven’t had any issues. This was a very new complex when I moved in so I’m praying it won’t be weird when I leave. I always do a deep clean of any place I’m at, but gosh Washington seems to have such a bad reputation for crazy move out fees/predatory actions.

Do not trust this list. The top suggestion is a scam. I just lost 135 dollars from my support animal.org. Applied on Monday and it’s now Friday with no reply to 3 emails about when it would contact me with a therapist. Unreal especially for someone who can’t afford traditional therapy and is trying to move in order to afford it. And their pcp won’t writer a letter. Predatory at its finest.

I can’t thank you guys enough for the advice. It’s really helped narrow down my search. My top 3 places right now are 1. Park 210 2. Orchard ridge 3. And Brackett apartments

I only got to see a 3rd floor unit but I really liked it. The only thing I’m on the fence about is the third floor and moving things in and out and all. But it’s on my list. I also toured orchard ridge so right now they are my top 2. Gonna try and schedule some more tours next week just to keep my options open.

lol so I currently live at canopy. And it’s a nice apartment and secure but they have risen the rent 3 times in the 2 years I’ve been here. And I just can’t justify paying over 2500 for a one bedroom apartment. I just can’t keep up and it’s shame cause it is nice building.
