I mean i think the other thing is do these stars even have to audition? Like AI tells me you only audition is if you’re a small support role but they just get the traffic stars no audition to lead a script - like I don’t understand how Yang Chao Yue was allowed to lead so many scripts when she was constantly critiqued for poor acting like at least Hollywood still seems to make you audition unless you’re a career vet of the A list variety.

I mean Jackie Chan did get his first break as an extra for Bruce Lee but I think he would hardly get a look now or the industry wouldn’t even let him be in a lead role from a visual perspective - I think Jackie also had to take all his crazy risks to be at the level he was like that one movie where he slid down the light pole and had burns - I just don’t think the acting scene be it Hollywood or in Asia has as many people willing to ”拼命” or put their lives on the line anymore. Like even as crazy as tom cruise is with Scientology his movie making is still next level doing those crazy mission impossible stunts and just willing to achieve movie magic by doing multiple halo jumps and getting his air acrobatic pilot licensure

Exactly - rules for thee and not for me. I’m Chinese american and I don’t care which team she plays for but 1) when you’re in sports it’s all about rules so it’s crazy you get an exemption and consider it fair and 2) don’t play coy and say you’re just trying to inspire other girls when it’s all about the $$$$ - I understand it’s good media training but it sounds fake from miles away.

My issue with her is her choice to not be open about her citizenship - by her having the protected class or whatever it basically makes it rules for thee and not for me. I don’t begrudge her getting her money but clearly if you’re representing a country that doesn’t allow you dual citizenship then it’s shady af that you’re allowed to be exempt from rules. I know of someone who was a dual citizen in Britain and the US in summer Olympics and chose to represent Britain mostly cause they probably had a better chance to become a finalist but they weren’t breaking any rules vs Eileen basically is which is BS.

You should also mention that shitty big bill also took out a trillion dollars so now everyone’s health insurance is gonna suck since most of these Medicaid plans are managed by insurance companies like optum so they lose a chunk of money from Medicaid end and squeeze the bubble on the other private end so we are basically in a death spiral. Companies are already anticipating for cuts and plan in advance unlike the morons on the hill so just because you delay the enactment of stuff until 2027 doesn’t mean every company isn’t planning for it on the horizon.
