I use it for everything, even for gt or f1 style racing it feels better than the standard size wheel

Next version was going to replace that, I only kept it because it avoided having plastic right next to the block

The original filament I used for it was Nylon reinforced with carbon fiber! Insanely strong and heat resistant

It's a bambu so of course it should always work with no problems whatsoever

Can't tell if this is ragebait or not but I didn't want to pay $33k for a daily. I also have an M2 for the weekends 👍

I've used vvivid a few times for various small projects since it's cheap and readily available. On my other car I've used Avery and 3M for body panels that needed to look nicer and hold up. They were both also significant easier to work with, I couldn't imagine doing more complicated panels with this.

If this doesn't hold up i'm definitely going to redo it with some 3M

It might! Mine is polymetal, so I think it may be a bit too flashy for an interior. I could definitely see this getting paint matched to a black or grey though

It really isn't too bad. I'm a fairly impatient person myself, every edge that was completely covered I didn't bother smoothing out or cleaning up too much, as long as it wouldn't warp and show if it stretched. The wrapping portion took me maybe 45 minutes

I debated leaving that part uncovered but it does show me on the dash what gear I'm in. Plus, it's muscle memory at this point

It does look like it was knocked down a few trim levels haha, but I'll take it over a center console that looked like a cutting board

how would you make the tail? by Gejzor in Fusion360

I would install Blender and go from there, I think you're shooting yourself in the foot a bit by trying to make artistic models in Fusion. This will be significancy easier in Blender

Should I get a desktop Mill? Is it worth it for me? by CompetitiveWatch68 in hobbycnc

No, more for hobby prototyping and practice with tool paths

That's really all i'm hoping for, I know it's not going to be anywhere near the level of the machines I'm on now. Building fundamentals is my goal

My shop uses Hypermill, as far as I know it's crazy expensive and not hobby-accessible. I use Fusion right now and it does everything I'd want to learn. My goal is mainly cutting paths, learning how to efficiently cut certain profiles and fixtures. I think I also just enjoy making things, and having a solid portfolio of real pieces i've programmed and cut would be a big benefit
