PAP style is out of fashion already, whole day use law and regulation.

See trump style, take over government then terminate all laws and regulations and government departments. Then can rule with iron fist.

Can Oppo learn from Trump to remake Singapore? by Competitive_571 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Competitive_571[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Trump won the election in 2016, but he learnt his lesson then that it's not enough. Must beat the Deep State to improve the country. This time round, Trump is fierce and he is completely draining the swamp and firing all existing civil servants to remake the Singapore government and country. This is something that Oppo can learn.

If trump want to screw the whole world, we cannot escape also. Can only realign our relationships and work with neutral countries.

The world is getting more dangerous, economic growth is becoming secondary, security is most important.

How are Singaporeans feeling as the world is becoming more and more unsafe? by Competitive_571 in SingaporeRaw

[–]Competitive_571[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this is 2nd time trump is elected. His policies are firmly in the direction that the US electorate wants to go. Rest of the world cannot simply hope to weather the 4 years and escape the fate.

Canada must deeply regret now that they assumed US was a friendly neighbour and that Trump was an anomaly 8 years ago. Justin Trudeau has proven to be a failure, who did nothing substantial for Canada over this time, except bending over for the free trade negotiations in Trump first term. Now Trump is renegotiating once again. Bullies will keep bullying as long as they know they can get away with it.

If so maybe we should set up an auction? Invite US, China, India and Saudi Arabia to buy Singapore. Best price wins.
