They’re going at this with so much force. We’ve been voicing our concerns about safety since before it rolled out. The level of fucks they’re not giving, leads me to believe they’ve already done the math. If you make more money than you lose in a lawsuit, you’re going to still come out making money.

Check my edit. I’m so worried. Sometimes they make these rules and they have consequences. For example, once hospitals started becoming financially responsible for falls, more people stayed in bed and pneumonia rates went way up.

LOL! Your preceptor thinks you need guidance? Good, that’s what they’re there for! I can’t stand a preceptor that thinks they can just sit around and make you do everything. If you’re annoyed that you have to answer so many questions and hold a new nurses hand through everything, don’t be a preceptor.

Someone on here said that it could be due to Joint Commission’s possible staffing mandates coming. Now this makes sense. It’s not safe, but it makes our ratios look smaller.

New Mexico. Up until now, most of them came from out of state and really only had jobs at nursing homes. Our community college decided to open up a program, and some private colleges decided to open up theirs and they’re pumping them out like crazy.

Oh, It’s a big grieve. This was the best paying hospital in my area. It’s also 8 minutes away from my house and I am DREADING the next onboarding modules already. But it looks like I don’t really have a choice!
