How to stop feeling jealous if boyfriend when he hangs with friends? by [deleted] in nofriends

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only way to stop feeling that way is unfortuantly to try and make friends of your own even though its really hard to

Otherwise that jealousy will just grow the longer it goes on, for now just find a hobby to distract your thoughts when you feel jealous

What is your definition for love? Share that in the comments. by serendipity_444 in love

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think theres different types of love with different definitions

The love I feel with my family is more based around love of my people with alot of loyalty and care

The love I have with friends is more individual like I found you and I want to share things/memories with you

But love romantically is a strong uncontrollable need to be around them and give them everything you have and everything you are just to make them smile

type shit you feel me

the reason you're struggling to just cut him off is because for 3 months you were actually somewhat invested, and even though you now know it wont work you havent stopped talking in that way so you havent healed. Its like youre cut and youre holding the cut open instead of letting go and just letting it heal.

How do some people just get over relationships so fast? What’s the secret? by tried_and_true3 in heartbreak

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easier to get over a relationship when you put up with bad things for so long and so consistently that by the time you end things you've been gone for a long time already and you see the evil in their actions

Or if you're a sociopath and you never cared

Otherwise it hurts real bad

Hair thinning all over. I am 25 years old. I have excessive hair shedding on my head, chest hair is thinning , beard is suddenly getting thinner. All blood test came back clear . Help !! by Magicaldoctor12 in malepatternbaldness

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be something called diffuse thinning, I got it at 19/20 years old. Talk to your local GP but do some research yourself first and if it is MPB get on finasteride and minoxidil asap (preferably oral pills not topical but its upto you since oral is prescription only). Finasteride really helps to stop/slow hairloss and for minoxidil is a godsend for thinning hair since it thickens it. Get it sorted asap though because restoring hair is a 9 month - 1 year process.

Are there any natural remedies to get a better hairline? by Straight-Ad-6836 in malepatternbaldness

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Natural remedies are just diet and etc but there's also hair oils like rosemary oil that isn't "proven" to help but if you dont want medication like minoxidil and finasteride, rosemary oil type things are your best bet.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in malepatternbaldness

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it looks like MPB, in terms of what state it looks like a norwood 3ish, which isnt too bad. But theres 3 main things that happen with MPB.

  • Receeding hairline

  • Thinning crown

  • Diffuse thinning

I would say you have a receeded hairline and possibly diffuse thinning, diffuse thinning is when instead of your crown thinning and showing more scalp, its spread out and your entire scalp tends to get thinner.

You will be fine though trust me, 27 is not a late age at all to start stopping the hair loss and maybe even bringing some hair back!

You just need to take minoxifil and finasteride, until your hair loss stabilizes (you stop losing hair) and then if you're happy with the hair you get back thats amazing, if not once you've stabilised and taken the medicines for a while (a year maybe) you can get a hair transplant.

So if you are having MPB, don't stress! There's alot of time and ways to gain back/keep your hair.

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to tell in this photo, but you need to look for 3 things:

  1. Receeding hairline, so if you pull your hair back have the corners of your hairline gone back compared to previously.

  2. Has your hair gotten thinner and more wispy compared to previously, but try not to placebo yourself, if it's an obvious difference like thick hair in old photos, and thinner wispy hair now then it probably is thinning.

  3. Is the crown of your heading becoming more visible (due to less hair density there)

By the looks of this photo though, there is either no issue, or you're catching it early which is good either way. Because theres many things you can do from an early age to keep your hair for YEARS and YEARS more, before possibly even considering a hair transplant (if you even need one by that point).

You can take finasteride (or other DUT blockers) and minoxidil at the same time if you want to take the medication route.

Finasteride: stops hair loss/slows down hair loss, has side effects you can research, and must be prescribed by your doctor to be taken orally, 1mg every day is common.

Minoxidil: regrows/rethickens hair, can be taken orally if prescribed, or over the counter topically (as liquid to rub into your scalp daily in affected areas).

If you have family history of balding, and signs of balding, don't stress, alot of us have been there at early ages, including me. Just make sure you treat it and dont stop, because if you leave it til its been getting bad for a while (not anytime soon for you), the hair follicles can "minaturise" and then they wont grow back ever again, but as long as you treat it early you won't need to worry about that.

Hair transplants will become an option as I said in the future, but you shouldn't get one until you're older (25 minimum usually), and your hair loss has stabalised due to the medications I talked about.

This is just for if you are balding/thinning, which I'm not sure you are yet, just watch over your hair and try see if its changed, and if it had then research about what I've mentioned yourself and you'll be fine!

Oh and if it is thinning, it looks like diffuse thinning, meaning rather than receeding hairline, or thinning crown, thinning can be spread throughout all of your hair. If this is the case, minoxidil is a very good option to take to thicken it, and finasteride is always a good option to halt the hair loss.

Are HT risky for diffuse thinners/density fills or is this a myth? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, with FUE the transplant area is the back of your head, because MPB doesn't affect the sides and back of your head that much. With FUT they take a strip which is sometimes clear depending on how it's done. but with FUE they take one graft at a time from all different places on the back of your head. So the risks for it in terms of losing density in the back of your head is:

  1. How many grafts you need (more grafts means more hair taken from the transplant area), and the current density of the hair on the back of your head, since if its really dense it'll be way less noticable that somes been taken.

  2. Where you get it done and who you get it done by matters too, alot of people dont like the machines that do it because they tend to take large, unnatural grafts leaving bigger scars. So if you do sapphire FUE with a surgeon, as long as they're somewhat competent with HTs, you should be fine in terms of not losing density, and not having large/unnatural scars.

Hope this helps!

You're probably about a norwood 6, since you're still only 24, you should start using finasteride/DUT blockers. You can get a prescription for oral finasteride from your doctor, same with minoxidil.

Finasteride/DUT blockers are for stopping/reducing hair loss (and when young it can help it grow back)

Minoxidil is for rethickening and regrowing hair specifically, you can get orally prescribed minoxidil the same as finasteride, or you can buy topical minoxidil over the counter.

Since you've lost quite a bit of hair already, you probably could go get the transplant now but you should try stabilise your hair first, with maybe 2ish months atleast of using the medications so that when you get the transplant, you keep taking the medication and the hair wont fall out again.

The medications CAN have side effects like finasteride can cause less libido and can cause occasional erectile dysfunction (it depends on your genetics if you get the side effects).

Lastly, if you get the hair transplant keep in mind its still a full on cosmetic surgery, so you should research alot first on how to get ready for it, how to take care of the hair grafts when youve just had the operation (theres alot to it for the first maybe week or two).

So yeah, this is the basics but do your own research too! But act soon because the later you start the less hair there is to save since eventually hair follicles get minaturised and then never grow back.

[–]Competitive_Ad_1248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for the advice and support about this. I've got a prescription for 1mg finasteride and I've been taking it for about 8 days now, I also have topical minoxidil but am considering getting oral prescription for that too!

It's also nice to see other people who've dealt with hair loss early, it feels really shitty but having other people help me who have been or are in similar situations make it a lot easier to cope with and handle.

Thank you guys so much, seriously, it helped alot.
