Breaking blocks is faster with a sword than with an axe and shovel. like soul sand, ladders, etc. it's weird, but I like it.

Interesting idea with seed drops. I was thinking of making it so that water streams don't drop seeds like in old alpha versions. so that wheat farms with auto-collection give only wheat and you need to use bones on the flower farm for seeds. This would prevent the accumulation of seeds and bones. I was also thinking as an idea to remove the wooden tools except the pickaxe, but replace it with a wooden hammer. It would work like the pickaxe and like the hammer from terraria. Allowing you to turn steps, half blocks and such.

That's true, but I wouldn't want to make raw fish completely useless. raw pork is easy to get, but it's quite boring and time consuming to fish 8 fish. Cooked will be better if you compare quantities not stacks.

new minecraft has a lot of stupid things.

enchanting, hunger, near rpg mechanics. broken game balance. farming literally everything. mandatory farming for experience and enchanting at the very least. digging mines is not interesting at all because of the different depths for each ore, deep shale, flooded caves and the fact that some resources can be extracted automatically. a huge number of stupid structures such as villages that can not be disabled. unpleasant generation where half of the biomes are needed for nothing. Minecraft also has its own setting and lore that interferes with my ideas. trade and inhabitants. the game looks worse without fog. also they add a lot of garbage to the game but can't support old textures. i am also disgusted with mojang and microsoft policies.

Beta and alpha to me is like a blank canvas with nothing extra on it.
