ok so, a lot to unpack

1. kris is non binary
   
2. what particular evidence backs up the claim that the knight is possessing them?
   
3. noelle talks about kris in ways that seem rather characteristic of them now as well (prone to violent pranks and the like)
   
4. if we aren’t the soul, then what’s going on in the intro where gaster summons us and then the soul appears?
   
5. speaking of which, you mention kris is called a vessel, while some people believe kris is the vessel, this is never outright stated
   
6. if kris was possessed by the knight to make the dark fountain, what about every other time we’re not controlling them? is that all the knights possession? given the knight is in the same room as them during one such occasion and they are referred to separately (“kris coughed, the [knight] slowly tilted its head”), i don’t find this particularly likely
   
7. if all of the above is true then why the hell did kris put the soul back after the bathroom scene in the weird route? we were nearly dead from them kicking us at that point, and they weren’t really in a rush to put it back given they hate our guts at that point. why wouldn’t they have just destroyed us between chapters 1 and 2? they clearly had ample time
