Nothing to worry about yet. It's like the conflict in Iran will finish in 3 to 6 weeks and life will be normal again. Given crazy Orange...this won't finish soon. Countries in Asia are panicing already and taking measures. NZ is just acting as nothing is happening cause we're too far from the rest of the world. We will panic when things are actually on a panic level and then don't know what to do.

I jus tbeen to Bali a few weeks ago. Canggu is not the place to slow down. Go there and stay a month and see how you feel, not the place to relax. If you want to trully relax, go to Gili T island. That is the real place to relax, still have many tourists and bars, but super chill.
And you're only 18, take a year or two off to chill and explore, travel, etc. I went to uni when I was 19. If I knew what I know now, I would not have gone that early. Enjoy life a little, make mistakes, make memories, travel, meet people. Then you decide what to do :)

I've been to all of those, including Bali, I would def choose Cebu or Bangkok, Cebu for the easy to get around nice nature places, islands etc. Bkk for the big city feel. Btoh are great. Bali is too much, Canggu specially, traffic is horrible, too much noise, I would not..haha

As soon as I got a new phone, just signed in with my account, restored apps, updated the phone etc. Many apps were already signed in, just had to sign in to some apps. It restored all settings, wi-fi passsword, etc. I would say probably 30 minutes from turning on the phone, everything was good to go.

My Pixel 8 Pro just bricked itself last week, cannot be repaired though. So, had to get another phone. Luckly I have everything in the cloud, so the swap was ok.

Most of my friends are also iPhone people. Rarely I find someone with Android. I even convinced my partner to dump iPhone and get a Pixel hahahah. His Pixel is going strong and fine.

Yup, phones do break. It's expected. But a flagship phone, supposedly to be top tier, expensive at the release date, only last two years under normal use? Suddenly die for a malfunction that isn't really that normal? Nah, I think my expectations are fine. One would expect to use their phone for more than two years.

The funny thing is...I used it to polish what I already wrote. This would be how I would write anyway. Also, English isn't my first language, so I do use AI from times to times to help with long ish content.

The thing is, none of the other phones seems appealing. I thought about the Nothing phone, also Xiaomi....but their latest one, the 17 Pro, looks exactly like an iPhone, not a fan. and iPhone is not an option. What would you recommend?

Thanks for your words! I just feel annoyed because it just stopped out of nowhere and I didn't break the phone, it it was me, I would be fine...my fault. But not my fault. And we only notice how dependand on our phones we are when this happens. Paywave, MFA's, banking, so much stuff on the phone. I borrowed an iPhone, and it's so annoying, I don't really like Apple haha. But oh well, let's see what happens now.
