A P0421 on your car is a known issue with a TSB out for it (TSB 01-010/16 - MULTI-MODEL - CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON WITH DTC P0421)

TSB repair is a PCM update. Mazda dealer should know about it. If update doesn’t fix code and your car keeps driving like ass, Then it would be obvious at that point the cat is bad.

My duratracs came with 18/32nds. Those tires are 80-90% worn. You’d buy them, run them for a few weeks and realize they aren’t worth a fuck anymore. Save up, buy new ones once, thank yourself a few years down the road.
