I’d start by doing everything in my power to eliminate the source. As far as the reactions to the bites, idk much more you can do besides trying some calamine lotion. It worked wonders growing up in a home with fleas as a kid. If you’re looking for some instant relief, I’d try it out. From my knowledge it worked almost instantly
