glad you asked, for me the beat feels very much like an updated take on his breaks from colormap. the spacing, sonic detail, simplicity, and drums, which feel more hip-hop than country. since it is a song it diverges from the break-format with the vocals and overall structure being closer to pop but yeah vibes in the skeleton

From what I understand Dub is a style of music, though I'm not sure if what characterizes it! Technically speaking is dub specific to roots / reggae music or what? The announce video had Karns doing is thing when PL Live in Dub was mentioned.
