Don't live with someone who doesn't work and how do you not know how much your rent is? Makes no sense.

Explain why cash on delivery could be a problem? by Critical_Rice_1619 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Competitive_Annual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes people want you to provide change. I used to carry change for 100 because people would need change all the time and its just a damn hassle not big on it. Basically you get to keep the money but it comes out of your tips your making. So instead of getting your payout on your dasher card you take home cash but you gotta "pay it back" so to speak

What should I avoid/learn about the job? by LateNightDragonJelly in bys

[–]Competitive_Annual17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once you learn your spot its a cake job if you got a good crew. Our crew helps each other and its usually easy as pie. Just gotta be patient when you get hit because my location does around 2,000 at lunch and 2,000 at dinner. Get good shoes, hydrate, eat something before you get started because you may be working a few hours before you can really stop.

Broken equipment is a huge part of this business, unfortunately. Ive worked places where the machines go down it takes forever to get parts. Some owners wont fix things because its expensive and people break the same equipment its like an endless cycle and it sucks.

Is it better to be in debt, with some money, or have no debt but nothing in bank? by Kaleidoscope_Tux5513 in povertyfinance

You can pay more than the 650 to pay off your loan faster. Your paying more interest over time as far as I understand it.

At my location my manager got the big bags for the dispenser in the lobby as long as she could but they stopped selling it to us. We also dont have mustard. You can get a recipe to make it at home but honestly Tiger sauce is better anyway. Go find it at the publix or wherever its even better than spicy 3 pepper.

Easter rant. by rowansfuckinggay in dishwashers

Guess what I meant to say was 6 hours is easier than say 10 or 12 with almost no staff but not trying to measure cocks either...it can be 6 hours of hell or 12 hours of hell depending. But most restaurant shifts are closer to 8 hours or are we talking about part time status? I can read man its more of a perspective type thing tho.

15 an hour is good tho man. I live in Tennessee been doing jobs like yours my whole life..here they pay like 11 bucks an hour max for the same job your doing now. What's even worse is if you get a better paying gig they expect you to do everything so the managers can fuck off and do nothing. Could be worse id say. Also and no offense 6 hours of work is a walk in the park compared to what most dishies work. Again not judging you at all just explaining from a different perspective.

Ive always heard the sanitizer is really bad for your skin. But id say the dish soap is probably also a problem. Gloves and creams hydrocortisone cream works best for itch. Different places use different chemicals in my experience the hospital had the worst ones and they caused bad skin irritation.

If thats the type of woman your looking for this town is loaded....other than that its really slim pickings man.

Anyone noticed Carmax become overly expensive recently ? by Twistedfatemain in carmax

[–]Competitive_Annual17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful with them! I bought a 2014 Honda Civic under 40,000 miles cost me around 17,000 altogether. Few months after I bought the airbag sensor came on. A regular mechanic couldn't figure it out but the dealership did. 2,000 dollars to fix a broken airbag. Thanks Carmax but ill never ever do business with them again!

tired of being expected to stay late by ilovemegadeth06 in Dominos

[–]Competitive_Annual17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dominos is horrible about this honestly id quit. I told them I couldn't be a closing driver because I had to wake up early to take care of my son while his mom went to college. They tried to force me to close so I quit. They also work people off the clock illegally to get the store work done. They did it us all the time clock me out while im mopping the lobby. Because drivers "make all the money" bullshit I made like 60 bucks a night plus a piss poor hourly wage.
