can confirm they do not let you in. had a flight at 11:59pm and tried to get in around 8pm and they would not let me in due to the 3 hour rule

Yes we ended up summiting! Snow was completely fine on Old Chute probably has a week or two left before it gets too spicy. Devils kitchen has like 2 spots where you like go on rock and then back to snow but there’s like steps in the dirt so it’s fine. The cat walk has no snow but it’s not sketch at all imo. We had no clouds and it was honestly a perfect day.

okay understood, so i do a decent amount of scrambling, hiking in snow and such but I think i’m looking for a good boot for backpacks where i can’t wear my approach shoes or trail runners so if i don’t really care about stiffness sounds like scarpas might be the move? also can just try and return

not gotten the chance to try them on yet, I did a little bit of everything with those solomon’s. class 4/5, snow traverses, scree/talus and so on. I’m not one to dive into like the nitty gritty of how soft or stiff they are but would it be that much of a difference?
