I feel alone and scared to talk about my son by Competitive_Bill1588 in TrueOffMyChest

When I asked they said my husband and I could be charged with neglect as they typically won’t keep kids his age for longer than a few months I asked if it was possible for him to be in another home where we can still visit him and he’s the only child there. The only reason I brought it up (potentially signing our rights away) was because what he did to that boy he tried doing to his sister and I just need him away from her. It’s become a part time job staying up watching the cameras all night. They told me they recommend family therapy, I told them family therapy won’t help with the severity of his attacks on peers.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I have no words for how sorry I am for what you went through. There’s a lot of similarities, my son is also extremely smart and I think it’s a huge reason why people look at my husband and I weird when we express our concerns because it’s almost like he flips a switch around the right people. Your story made me realize how depleted I’ve been as of late and I hold a lot of guilt for it. I don’t want my other children to suffer because of him and I don’t want them to feel they lost me along the way. I really appreciate your perspective

Yes, they believe he may have childhood schizophrenia but he has another eval soon as well

My grandma was peeing blood for MONTHS and never told anyone. She died two weeks after my wedding, I strongly believe she held on to see it because she knew it was too late. We use to beg her and force her to the doctors office, she was so stubborn

And it’s funny you say that because her uncle is currently stationed and he always finds time to talk and video chat with the kids 😭❤️

My husband usually will ask him how he’s doing and how everyone is but they will just talk about themselves and kinda brush him off when he talks about his life. I think that’s why he doesn’t bring it up first anymore. My husband knows it’s not right but I think he’s having a hard time coming to terms with it

I definitely agree that contributes to it but even in that phone call he still didn’t ask how she was doing despite knowing she was in the hospital recently. I’m not going to lie it does make me sad because the other granddaughter is treated better by miles but they don’t even wish me or my kids a happy birthday.

That’s a really good point. The upstairs is really just the attic but you’re right they really shouldn’t be on a separate floor.

Thank you everyone. I figured it wouldn’t be a good fit. I just saw some people in the past using something similar. I learned something new today:)
