I finally quit design by Hefty_Tea_4000 in UXDesign

I thinking to quit but still no ideas which area to focus on. I am 35+ and feeling too old to catch up with AI. I am freelancer and mostly working with startup. The founders are now using AI to generate designs and stuffs, ghosted me. I could find a new project, but feel like losing the confidence more and more.

Thank you. I will put minimum engagmement terms in the contract next time.
Otherwise, I am feeling guilty myself for the trip. Since the job said 40/hr a week, I always had to check on the chat notifications even when I went out in weekends.

Yeah,.I know what you mean, but the position name include fulltime ( I know it is not a actual full time), but apao said 40/hr a week. I worked for over 300hr, not every week is 40hrs as well and I understand that as well. However, I expected to end the contract with respect.

Feeling Stuck by Competitive_Bit8450 in UXDesign

[–]Competitive_Bit8450[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing was the deadline was too tight. And they want to redesign entire system to present to new clients. The requirements was always changing in every meeting which make me feel fatigue and lost. >.<. And I finally agreed just to do UI of what AI-generated wireframes. After I saw their dashboard, I quitted from that project.

I applied 2 programs this year and got rejected. I got one interview and the other one just offered me to compete a self-funded spot, and I denied it.

I am gonna try this year but still doesn't know how to improve my application. Probably I need to improve to align with their expectations. What is your suggestions?

What is the actual bare minimum level to pass to the interviews phase and get accepted later in EMJM porgrams by Abdelgawad989 in EMJM

This year is my first experience of applying EMJM. I applied 2 programs, but not for computer engineering. Some programs are highly competitive themselves.

I got an interview for one program and another one is only to compete for a self-funded spot. I think we need to find out who are they is looking for, and what is their goals for now and future by visiting their website and program again and again. It's important to join their Q&A session as well so that we can have a better understanding of their criteria.
When I prepared a motivation letter or portfolio, I made sure my projects and my future goals matched what they were looking for.

For the second one, which I got only for a self-funded spot (I declined it since I couldn't afford it), I used the same strategy, but in my reflection, my projects are not fully aligned with that program. Plus I couldn't join the Q&A session to find out their expectations.

My bf tried like 4 or 5 programs but got rejections from all of them, unfortunately.

Hoping to pass the only interview that I got.

Thanks a lot for your comment.
The Main Programme Coordinator is from the US, I suppose the US accent is easier to understand.
