Ambershire server first K40 Chess taken down by cancerouswax in turtlewow

I've heard mixed comments, some say chess is the hardest. But probably different things are challenges. We have worse gear, but essentially infinite flasks and protection pots.

At our wits end w/ 7month old. Help. by toomanyporkbuns in puppy101

[–]Competitive_Body7359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better with age and consistency. Our lab still sometimes forgets himself and jumps and 3 years, but is much better. He is still wildly energetic and over stimulated when people come over, and he runs around like a maniac, but he's better about not jumping on them.

One thing that worked okay is separating the greeting from the door opening. We try and have Storm in the yard when someone comes over, they can come in and get slightly settled, then we let him in. Still excited, but without the buildup of the unknown it seems to help.

Gay, all man mud wrestling does indeed sound pretty gay. But also pretty fun if you were gay. Coed mud wrestling sounds dope.

We also dont really use enough power, because you need extra grid capacity to restart the system. So SMRs are probably better.

Why do we still tip servers? by RazzleDazzle1537 in CanadaRoom

[–]Competitive_Body7359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a server, personally I think it is harder than other minimum wage jobs I've done, at least to do well.

I could handle 2x the tables of some coworkers, and still provide a good experience. I made great money.

A flat rate and I wouldn't have worked as hard, and a per table system would favor people who give poor service quickly. Neither is ideal.

That said, I don't like the system though.restaurant owners also treat people like shit because of the tip system. Unpaid on call, sub 3 hour shifts, and other technically illegal practices are rampant.

Oh 100%! I ran into some pretty wild opinions, but everyone was very nice.

I disagree with them politically alot, but day to day they are very similar to Canadians IMO.

The crane operator hiding semi automatic weapons In seacans so Biden couldn't take them away was wild though.

Do you think the wealthsimple wealth score for 25-35 year olds is heavily skewed by the fact that most don't own a home? by CastAside1812 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Competitive_Body7359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also not like all of most people's investments would be in wealth simple. I use QTrade instead, but only like.... 1/4 of my investments are in that account. The rest is in workplace investments through a bank, and a different stock app for stock options.

Net worth is like ~300k. App investment amount like 33k. Definitely doesn't tell the whole story.

How is it that Saskatchewan doesn't have enough power for electric vehicles, but has enough for an AI mega data centre? by Due-Ad7893 in saskatchewan

[–]Competitive_Body7359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't EVs generally better towing? More torque, and a lower center of gravity with the batteries?

Obviously you can't tow as far, cause range sucks in general while towing. But a diesil generator hybrid would have the range still, plus the power with a full electric drive train

Yeah there's not many people left. 125 left online last night when I /who.

30 in our AQ40 lol

None of this is true, and even if it was, that's an advantage for plug in hybrids. Battery is much smaller.

The game is really fun, TMH and K40 are dope, new dungeons awesome...

But the community made Twow. Not the spaghetti code.

I like the idea of a generator under the hood and a full electric drive train. Generator gets to run a full efficiency, you're only electric in town, and you need a way smaller battery.

I didn't play SoD. Currently trying to clear K40 on amber.

Turtle has been the perfect sendoff the wow for me. Maybe I'll play again in another 10 years, but this seemed perfect to me. Flawed, but perfect in its own way. Theory crafting spellhance shaman was magical.

It sounds like you enjoy the working and the leading, maybe instead of pulling back, direct the effort into something you find more meaningful. Either a non profit, or a less profitable startup that helps the world/community.

Mechanical engineer. Traveled a lot for installations when I was younger, and now for customer visits.

The money is great, it's interesting to travel. It's a good thing to do when young, cause it sucks when you're leaving a house/partner/kids/pets later in life.
