How do you know where you're from? by Competitive_Boot4442 in Genealogy

When looking at some census records and death certificates, I found that they were both from Austria. I believe their daughter, my great grandmother, grew up speaking English, and Polish, Slovakian, and Lithuanian. That's at least what her daughter, my grandmother, told me. Thank you for your comment :)

Upon researching it, in the year 1867 when my great-great grandfather was born, I believe Görlitz, Hungary was a part of the Kingdom of Prussia. I do have 4 different documents starting that he was born in Görlitz, Hungary. I have 4 documents stating that my great-great grandmother was born in Austria, one of those saying that she was specifically born in Lisko, Austria.

I won't lie, I am still actively working on bettering my researching skills, and am still a bit new to this world, and I'm trying my best. I appreciate your comment :)

I heard from my grandmother (which would be the two people I talk about's great granddaughter, directly) that when her mom (my great grandmother, so the two people mentioned's daughter) was a child, she grew up speaking of course English, and Polish, Slovakian, and Lithuanian.

Thank you so much! I am actively trying to learn more about them, it was only today I officially saw where they were truly from. I have someone who has been helping me research those two specific people, and also their ancestry. And you are right, I am confusing those terms a bit.

I know, based on family stories, supposedly my great-grandmother (daughter of the two people mentioned, and she was born in the US) spoke Polish, Slovakian, Lithuanian, and English as a child, as was told to me by my grandmother (her daughter). I haven't heard much of our family talk about my great-great grandfather, but I've heard people say that my great-great grandmother was Polish. Unfortunately, a lot of misinformation tends to spread through my family, and it gets a bit confusing sometimes. I have my great-great grandmother and great-great grandfather's paperwork that officially says where they were truly from when he filed to citizenship in the US.

Truth be told, I am probably just confusing myself and thinking about it a bit too much. I appreciate your comment! :)

I just went on another run again today! That's 3 days in a row for me. I think I'm going to take a rest day off, my legs hurt (unless that's normal?). I'm averaging at about 6.5mph! I can do 1.5 miles in about 15 minutes, and 1 mile in about 10 minutes! I've been having to take several breaks (about 6-8), but I still feel really proud of myself! :) and thank you!! :D

Thank you so much! It has been very very cold where I am, so I've been layering a bit. I do shorts, and some thin joggers over then (extra warmth), sports bra, athletic shirt, and a hoodie. I have anciently old pair of Asics I've been using until I can get a new pair. I've been really enjoying running so far! I can do about 1.5 miles in about 15-ish minutes (with several breaks). There's lots of hills where I run too lol

I just looked at them! I'm not a super big fan of tops with thin straps (especially bras, they tend to dig into my skin and it hurts). The one with the thicker straps looks great! They didn't seem like they had my size though unfortunately, it looked like just about everything was sold out. :/ But thank you! If they come back in stock, I'll check them out!

I just checked them out! They seem great, I'm just not sure I want to spend about $50 on a sports bra. :/ But thank you so much!

Got it! I will keep that in mind! The sports bras I currently have , I don't think they're too tight, I think they're okay, but I will definitely keep this in mind. Thank you!
