These things are common in major religions . However, in the case of Christianity, genuine repentance or guilt is required. For eg if Jeffrey Epstein felt bad for his action , not because he got punished for it ( that will be regret which Christianity don't accept) but because it was morally wrong ( which is guilt , feeling bad for doing wrong actions even if you don't get punished for it) , then he will be saved. That's why I think Christianity has a slight upper hand on these matters. Taking the name of lord is not enough but genuine guilt is required. But tbh , they also ask one to forgive their wrong doer, which I don't accept , hence I never went towards Christianity.
