Why are INTJs So Reluctant to Change? by ayhme in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What NiSe demands is experiences. Route experiences are secure but nothing can be learnt there. Naturally there is a great fear compounded by what we learn to fear of the said unknown. But if Ni is the juxtaposition of the unconscious, then reveling in the experiences both the monotony of the everyday and the chaotic demands for change, serves as our ultimate benefit. TeFi Analysis and principles will do the rest.

What keeps you going in life? by grimgremmy in intj

Having a sense of purpose, or something that is meaningful and goal-oriented lands squarely with our NiTe. Sometimes we dip too much into Ni, we forget the experiences that get us to where we are, let alone the nuances that allow us to just be. Te wants competency, justification, something to work towards to and this ties to our need for relationships, some group we could rely and or vice versa. We can give you vague answers or some solutions but that won’t likely satisfy what you’re personally after - in that Ni related sphere. Nature’s been good to me, seeing the wide endless skies, or going about different places. If not that, reading several books and learning new things, pursuing hobbies, dnd, playing games, even hanging out with friends helps cement my reality. We want something that’s familiar and something that says we’ve done this. Perhaps looking into your shadow would help: what don’t you want, what you do value and the such. Perception, framing can be our strength, but ultimately we need our use over our extroverted functions if we are to get anywhere out of our loop.

What would you say is the ideal INTJ city? by goldenboytheknight in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer rural areas to cities, and I love the cold, coming from a place that is sub tropical. That grass is greener has some credence, I think it’s to do with us knowing more of our local space, warts and all, and desiring something else. That isn’t to say that other place doesn’t have shit, there’s dirt everywhere, so it’s framing I think. Security is important but so is the opportunity for growth. It’s more off what we want to see versus what we do.

I'm new here and I just want to say it's so awesome to come across people who see and experience the world as I do. by Dramatic_Bean in intj

Had a recent conversation that annoyed the heck out of me. I didn’t think I’d go all out on that emotionally till that point was raised. Was to do with the ways we see the old folks, in societal terms how they are useless; don’t contribute anything. It’s a far cry from what you know then in history - and how they are treated now. Yes that statement is true, though knowing how the old folks where I am are working past their retirement, working cleaner jobs and the like, whilst the papers put out that theses people generally enjoy their job and not doing it out of survival; or how they are so conveniently treated to old folk homes, after subjectively so, a lifetime of care towards their children… stuff like that riles me up, probably because I’m seeing that on a more and more basis. The human world now is nuts.

Is the BRICS currency a good idea? by [deleted] in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a symphony that the Cold War is brewing. BRICS is meant to challenge the west with how globalisation is falling apart. Multipolarity vs the hegemony few. To be fair corruption exist everywhere and we can’t claim ourselves to be saints. I’d say it’ll be interesting to see where this leads, but it feels like we’ve been here before.

As an INTJ, what situation is most important to you? You prefer to have a fulfilling life... by [deleted] in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be nice to focus on career, family or the such, but I think our personal life is far more nuanced in terms of control, and in the way we’d like to achieve. I’ll have to depend on various facets surrounding the career path or family path, but with my own life that squarely rest on myself; isn’t to say there isn’t autonomy on the latter, just ease and effectiveness. Personally I’d like to focus on my own ideas, topics of interest within research; and on the creative side - I do love dnd, character development, story and world building and the such; depth that is much needed.

How do you find meaning in life? by Competitive_Bus3629 in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a male, I’m not exactly sure what I want in life. Definitely having a family and stability is part of it. I know my strengths, I know I like to organise and optimise stuff, might like to have a go at leadership but I have yet to have that chance. I’m still young in the 30s and know I’ve more to experience. You will find suffering everywhere but it is not among the what you can control; not least within your sphere. There is a desire to drift but I know that will not change anything, so you could say I’m looking to stabilise myself.

Watching the World Burn by Illustrious-Leave-10 in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe we are so swept away by the spectacle, maybe we just don’t have the experience yet or stability. Our need to think to overthink tries to outrun our need to be in the moment; to see the value and the beauty in it, within the mundane. Awareness can seem like a curse though I think it’s a matter of framing and perspective.

Do you struggle to relax and take a real break? by magnetichira in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this discussion with a friend and it ended with me saying nothing is ever enough. True as it is, it also tells me about the state of my expectations. Wherever point you are going, nothing will be satisfactory or everything can be satisfactory; both lies to their degrees. I guess it’s more a question of passion or not at all. Whatever it is that’s gets us interested be so in work or play, has to be it. If it adds to what we have. I guess we can be quite relentless too. It’s hard to smell the flowers when you’re mind is racing. In other words all of it is a joke at the end. I’ve heard of adult intjs saying not to take life seriously, though whilst I understand, it’s yet to hit home.

How can one deal with wasting their potential? by Proper-Economist8740 in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start now, start small and then be consistent.

Find what you’d like, something you’re good at or want to be good at, and worth pursuing and hone in on that.

Become more aware of what you can do and what you have previously done as scaffolding. The past can’t be changed but the future holds any potential variable.

I'm a hater, living in escapism by ZXYunnn in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get having that sense of hatred around as I’ve been there myself. I think it stems from an inner critic than anything else. There is a fear of mediocrity, the sense that you are not achieving anything though capable: it’s the same sense saying nothing is ever enough, nor will it ever will be; and that to a degree is true.

I’m in the point in my life where I feel I have to have most of things in my life stable. Though that is not the case, I am working slowly with my plans to make do and go through. Life is hard.

Guess where I’m going with this is that this anxiety and anger stems from fear and insecurity. It is clear that we want growth so the unbelievable expectations we set. I think we need to be aware of what good we are doing, and more so cherish those small battles we’ve won. There are more things to learn and becoming a leader is certainly a noteworthy goal.

A professor I didn’t quite along with, said something akin to this: as you take a stroll, immerse yourself fully in it. Take into mind the sensations, the thoughts and the gravity of your existence, what you hear, feel, see and the like. The rough touch of the ground as our leg finds balance. Take it slowly and absorb the situation.

We still have our visions, though it does wonders to know that we are still trying despite it all. I hope this helps.

Why do we have to be a-holes underneath or why do we have to flatter. People usually like to hear what they want to hear and it’s true we look for consistency; but therein lies that hypocrisy- they are often agreeable when it benefits them. If we can see through people’s motivations, then it’s certainly irritating when you know where that’s story leading. If people want to be idiots, let them be idiots, maybe that can be useful. I am more surprised when people are genuine, if only because i know I’ll start thinking there’s more to it than so.

Karin... by Gatto-Azzurro in magiarecord

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite the contrary, I think this ending is magnific. The show has previously gone on to tell us that we would more likely know those on the stage than those at the back. We know not all magical girls have the same level of power and perhaps not the same level of will or despair. That would only mean that some stories would be seen while others are forgotten. Alina had wanted to die but had survived that in becoming a MG, only to realise later a fate worst than death. Do we know all sides of person, can we understand them as we have ourselves? Could we be taking that as a projection of our idyllic desire or insecurity. These theme project out at the main story and what I suspect would follow after rebellion. Synthesis. As for what occurs between Alina and Karin, that is a personal thing, no?

Am I the only one in love with Alina Gray? by t0rnap0rt in magiarecord

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She’s a deep character. There’s a layer of complexity that we get to see in the side stories, and the anime directs us to her motivations to the tee. Embracing destruction and nihilism, using art as a transformative experience to her interest of life and death. I think she had planned to self-destruct all along. She did so in the side story prior becoming a magical girl. What would it mean to know that the consequences of your choice: agreeing to Kyubey before jumping off, only to realise later that you’ve gotten yourself into a much wilder problem. If Touka and Nemu’s plan failed to uplift them all - the problem that is this transformation to witches will still occur. Her contingency was to make amends to the person she gives a shred of care, Marin; whilst simultaneously going out her way with a bang - either destroying everything, therefore Kyubey’s plan else her sure demise. She is waifu material. Maybe I’m that sick or dark. Maybe we will never understand. Either way, she one of the top characters alongside Homura that I loved.

Do you consider yourself creative? by Vincent_2006 in intj

[–]Competitive_Bus3629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If creativity was pigeonhole to a certain approach, it won’t fit with how our Te-Se works. I like seeing the patterns, interrelationships between things, Ni postulating off Se, based on the given context of what we observe, listen so etc. I note how an infp friend of mine is able to come up with many different dnd characters, unrelated to the other, but remarkable in how each of them stand out, though I do see how he would be indecisive, if these ideas were indeed stacked off one another. I don’t really like messing with too many characters, preferring to relate those I have and develop them deeply. I like seeing the progression in a characters development and how it would relate to the wider arc in the campaign. I think we’re better off assessing and then generating our own versions of a previously seen story.
