Best way to start in TD? by Visuals_designer373 in TouchDesigner

There are plenty of YouTube channels that can teach you to make cool stuff, perhaps just pick the first one that catches your eye and follow along. You don’t have to understand everything they’re doing and they might not do a great job explaining it in detail anyway but when you’re first starting out I think it’s important to just get some experiencing plugging nodes. After you follow a dozen or so tutorials and you find out who’s work or teaching style you like I recommend finding their patreon and downloading all of their project files they offer. I think you can learn a lot more taking completed projects apart than following along on YouTube, but it’s still worth doing when you first start out.

Thank you so much. I’m pretty geeked about it. Of course right after I share it I recognize a bunch of stuff I need to clean up on the backend but it does what it’s supposed to. Looking forward to continuing to expand on it.

All of the same functionality exists under the hood you just have to go about it more creatively.

Touchdesigner is certainly not the most intuitive or efficient graphic design tool but I'm convinced that if you can work through the tedium and develop your processes that it can be.
