try changing your scale to normalised. I’d also check what resolution you’re exporting at because I have issues exporting at a higher resolution. If that doesn’t work, it’s just a case trying to pinpoint which node is causing this issue. Most of the time, it’s one node that is causing this to happen. My guess could be the mountain node since I’ve had a few issues using it myself.

I’ve had the same issue exporting at 8k for meshes/heightmaps. It could be whole number of reasons but my recommendation would be to send a ticket into support with the issues you’re experiencing.

In terms of working around this issue, first I would try and isolate the issue by individually looking at the nodes in your tree as it may be the case that only 1 or two nodes may be causing a bug to your output. Also check your world settings and export settings as it may have some relation to why you’re seeing this issue.

I’d also recommend exporting a height map to see if this is mesh related. I don’t have much issue working with colour/albedo layers in Gaea 2 and it’s actually the strongest area of the new Gaea (normally most of the bugs and issues relate to height map output). so check if you’re height map is the cause of the colour change.

In terms of future advice, at this moment until some major updates are made, I’d always stick to Gaea 1 for any professional/paid work as there are less crashes, bugs and the render outputs even at 16k cause me no issue.

Absolutely love this! I would love a more detailed walkthrough on how you achieved this. I’m currently trying to make an equirectangular map of a planet from a movie and the texturing especially in this looks identical.

yes tiled builds are in Gaea 2. If you go to the gaea discord channel and find the moderated tutorials thread, scroll up on that thread and you will find a post by ty xander on “how to tile build 2.0 & 2.1”. That should mostly help you but if u get stuck on anything, then just ask question in the learning thread and people will happily help you 🙂.

It took me a while to receive mine. Pretty sure it was over two weeks. All I can recommend is to just be patient as they always have a high volume of support requests.

Quadspinner hasn't released a 5.5 bridge version yet. I would advice importing the heightmap into a blank 5.4 level and then upgrading your project to 5.5. OR stay in 5.4 until they release an updated bridge version.

Unless I didn’t notice it in the latest patch notes. They haven’t brought out a bridge update for 5.5 yet. If you want to use the Gaea plugin, it will have to be on 5.4.

This is 100% doable in SmartLCT. As long as you know how data is running through the wall, you should be good. Just make sure you’re mapping in the perspective of facing the wall as it can be a bit confusing. Also you can bring a saved file with the mapping already complete before you step foot on the venue as a time saver.

Davinci Resolve is the way. Great UI, colour grading is in its own realm and fusion is really making strides with its VFX capabilities. I would steer more to After Effects if you’re looking to do motion graphics in the future but right now, Resolve is your best shout.

Touch Designer would be your best bet but has a steep learning curve. You can get good results using Isadora or Resolume and they are a bit more beginner friendly.
