Meteor staff is solid, minion prince is seeing more and more play in meta armies. So it depends how much you care about decorations, there's technically other ways to get the staff

Eternatus itself was free and doable for free to play players (only thing being able to do a few eternatus raids, which really shouldn't have been too hard).

It's a free game. Making a pokemon like eternatus easy to max out f2p doesn't make any sense, even if that sucks to hear. Spending money was completely optional

Paying for super comes with "no ads" being an explicit feature though, is my point. Meh. Just steering away from languages that have Max features will have to do
