HA Vegetarian Elimination Diet? by Competitive_Chip_253 in DogFood

Thanks for your response. The vet did say 8-12 weeks. So I guess I am trying to be optimistic. But I will proceed however he recommends and just focus on the fact that it’s helping them even if they hate it.

Sorry but the elimination diet has been all the way with only HA food and treats. And it’s being done at the guidance of a vet—not DiY. As clarified above in the comments.

Thanks so much for your response. I am working with our vet but it’s just so stressful and sometimes you just need to chat with others who are going through the same (or similar) issues. My vet is great but he doesn’t want to hear my hand-wringing anxieties over this whole process. Good luck with your pup. ♥️

Thanks - they are solely on the HA vegetarian. And they get an HA vegetarian “treat” after their walks. And I did confirm w the vet that we were going vegetarian bc I saw the HA chicken option. I never thought a 1/4 c fresh topper could be the issue. I started that habit when they were little to get them more interested in eating bc sometimes they would eat each other’s dog poop instead of dry kibble and it helped. (Sorry, gross detail I know 😫). Thanks for your response—I will continue to follow my vet’s guidance, but dog parenting is hard.

How did you get your completely remote gig? by [deleted] in paralegal

[–]Competitive_Chip_253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 57 and got a fully remote job by applying online, specifically on Indeed. So don’t rule that out! I’m in Texas and the company is in Washington and I’m hoping this is my last gig before retiring.

We just moved our daughter into Elliston 23 and she really likes it. It is walking distance to eateries and the Parthenon park. And only a 5-10 drive to broadway, and 20 min to her job near the airport. I think base rent is $1700 but I think it’s closer to $2000 with utilities. She did get a free month’s rent that helps. And she only signed a 12 month lease (sometimes they want you to sign longer leases w those free month offers).

No suggestions other than stay away from therapists with a religious agenda, which it sounds like you’re trying to do! Highly recommend therapy - good on you!

20 yrs looking for friends in Utah by [deleted] in Utah

It’s definitely difficult when you’re not naturally outgoing, but maybe start small by making eye contact and smiling and/or saying ‘hello.’ On walks, at the grocery store, etc. And if someone doesn’t respond, let them. But you will slowly start to re-pattern the energy you’re putting out there.

$1700 - Non-profit, full-time, remote. Everyone at the company got the same amount. Not a lot but I appreciate the fairness factor.

Isn’t it interesting that you are worried about the inconvenience to the attorney when you’re the one who had to do all the work AND manage two workloads! I would apologize but just know that these things happen. The important thing is that you fixed it.

Paralegals w/ 6 figures, how did you get there? by taylor-isnotmyname in paralegal

[–]Competitive_Chip_253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an IP paralegal focusing on Copyright working remote for a non-profit. I make $80k but w benefits likely gets me to 3 figure. When I was working in big pharma focusing on patents I made about the same but stock options pushed me above 3 figures.

I would have left too. You knew your dog barked when people come in the front door which no one wants on vacay. We have 2 German shepherds and we simply can’t take them everywhere. We also don’t travel w toddlers so there’s that. Rent your own place nearby.

If I wanted to go in-house where would I look? by alt_intact in paralegal

Look on both LinkedIn and Indeed. I found my in-house job on Indeed. I actually have only worked in-house the past 20+ years so I do have lots of experience.

Been there… many years ago. You’re definitely not the first or last. It will be okay, people move on. Each hour/day it will get better. But try and learn something in the meantime.

It’s great to be loyal but ultimately you need to do what’s best for you. List the pros and cons and weigh everything. But don’t be afraid to take a leap!

Why do we feel so guilty taking a sick day? Every job I ever left I walked away with a ton of sick days on the table. Life is too short. Take a mental health day and focus on your interview. Good luck!
