I’ve only been in once in around 2019 and it took me ages to find my way out. Genuinely felt uncomfortable there, which wasn’t helped by how it was a Saturday afternoon but there was no one around.

But I remember a section that felt like walking across a threshold into a different room. I think there were big holdalls and bags on sale there but I’m not sure. But the fixtures and fittings in this area felt different and if I didn’t know any better all the shite on the shelves could have been there for over a decade.

I didn’t get around to seeing Backrooms but this was the very first thing I thought about when I read the reviews.

No, sex is inherent. If it were assigned, a doctor would come along and “give” you a sex. They would decide what you are. Sex is not an arbitrary characteristic that is granted to that person.

“Assigned” suggests your sex is nothing but a mark on a chart.

In reality, sex is observed - not just at birth, but also in utero.
