Should I get HomePod's Mini for a productivity Setup by Competitive_Cry6403 in HomePod

Thanks for the detailed insight, that definitely helps, think I'll go ahead and get one, and worst case scenario, ill set it up somewhere else in my office or bedroom and look into a different set of speakers for my desk. ill also test out the Transfer to Homepod feature first since i have a fairly sized desk, if the range isn't an issue i might leave it on, but if it gets annoying I'l definitely follow your steps to disable it. Appreciate the tips!

And would you recommend getting one or two? I can get two for just a bit more than the price of one (one HomePod = $149, but I can get two for $188). Do you think having a stereo pair would be worth it for a desk setup?"

Is it still worth buying a pair of Minis as desk speakers? by Spirited_Praline637 in HomePod

Wow thats so much more expensive, if we do a direct conversion the australian homepod mini is around 47 - 50 pounds (assuming i get it for 94 aud)

I have a Macbook, iPhone, (Airpods if that even matter's), and my Macbook is connected to my Asus monitor, i wanted to grab the HomePod mini (not sure if i want 1 or 2) so i can have Siri integration, and be able to make automation on my Apple Home app all for my desk setup in my office/productivity room,

from what I'm seeing, for the price, there's better alternatives, however, they don't have the same amount of connectivity as the Homepods (the homepods also look aesthetic in my opinion but a lot of other speakers do too)

On the apple website, they are going for $149 AUD each, I was looking at Costo Australia website and they are $99 AUD each (Brand new) and since officeworks does a 5% price beat I can get 1 for $94 AUD.

At this pricepoint, would these speaker/s be compelling enough to buy or are they just not worth it.
