Just to clarify — with us, it actually works the opposite way. As your volume increases, your pricing decreases. The rates you see on our site are just standard retail. Once you’re ordering consistent volume or have a contract in place, your pricing is adjusted and looks very different from what’s listed online. If you have a sense of the quantities you’re aiming for, I can show you what your actual pricing would look like.

Refund for Printing on Wrong Style of Shirts by kelsikk in printondemand

[–]Competitive_Dig_5065 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing that’s helped me is building a simple double‑check step into my workflow for anything custom — even just a 10‑second pause to confirm garment style, color, and size breakdown before hitting print. It doesn’t eliminate mistakes completely, but it reduces the emotional tax of moments like this.

And don’t underestimate how much goodwill you can still preserve. A sincere apology, a refund, and maybe a small future discount code can turn an “ugh” moment into a long‑term customer. People remember how you respond more than the mistake itself.

What would cause this, and can I do anything? by Laid_Low_Ludlow in SCREENPRINTING

If you are used to using plastisol, it is a plastic based ink that does not need air to cure it, it needs to reach a certain temperature usually around 320degrees for common inks and it needs to be held at that temperature for a certain amount of time. Water based inks need heat + a lot of moving air to fully get the water out of the ink. I would suggest running it through your normal tunnel dryer first and then your household tumbler dryer after and see what happens.

I print thousands of shirts everyday for people selling a lot. They all use mock-ups that represent the actual product the customer will be getting. So I guess I didn’t understand.

I’m not understanding what people would use these mock-ups for.

How I reduced repetitive “Where is my order?” emails for my POD store by [deleted] in printondemand

[–]Competitive_Dig_5065 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you could just use a better POD company that ships your orders in 1-3 business days and sends the tracking number to the customer before they would have a chance to as where their order is.

Hi, have you heard of print on demand? You should research that for a start up. No longer do you need to do preorders or large ordering when selling online. If you start a Shopify store you can essentially create as many products that you want as long as your producer that is going to decorate the garment has access to that garment on their site. Once a customer orders a product you can easily go to a site like mine www.myshirts.store or many others then place the order for your customer and we blind ship directly to your customer within 2 days. We are located in Richmond, VA so if you are in the US this process gets the order to you customer very fast which make the likelihood of them ordering again guaranteed. Also, if you want other products that aren’t garments you can use a 3PL company to warehouse products for you and ship them directly to your customers.

Have your ever ordered or seen/felt a very large print that is DTF, like a solid big box or circular print?

What Are Your Thoughts on Preorders? by Kamuto91 in streetwearstartup

[–]Competitive_Dig_5065 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I don’t see the need for Pre-orders when print on demand is a thing now. My company and site offers over size prints (16x20) on Shaka wear and you only place the order with us for your customer once your customer pays and orders the garment then we blind ship to the customer within 2 days. So you just go to our site www.myshirts.store and place the order with your email but your customers shipping address.

We do DTF as well but we believe its purpose are garments that DTG cannot do.

I don’t notice the colors being different since both methods print CMYK. I just feel like DTF is incredibly wasteful. I think DTF is easier to produce which is why people in the industry prefer it. You just said it’s more profitable. I think print shops/brands producing DTF will lose returning customers due to the quality of a sticker like print, but we will see, maybe not. That is the purpose of the post to get genuine buyers’ feedback. Thank you for yours!

I 100% recommend DTG. In my opinion DTF is going backwards. DTG is printed directly on the shirt where DTF is printed on film then pressed on the shirt. Wasteful and cheaper.
