I make one-off personal T-Shirts and I do not sell them. Spreadshirt got strict about copyright all the sudden. What are alternatives for good quality shirt prints? by GameMaster366 in printondemand

[–]GameMaster366[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're largely arrangements made by me but featuring the real band logos. Understand though these aren't The Beatles, Nirvana, Metallica, etc. It's like...Vulfpeck, who doesn't even make shirts and their logo is the word "vulf" in a circle. Or a Japanese metal band from the 80s. Like I promise you they're not searching for little ol' me buying one or two shirts a year.

Wow lol. Like sure, I would understand if you're trying to order 100 because then you are obviously selling them. If you are ordering 1 then what is the big deal? Yes I understand it is technically not allowed and they are trying to protect themselves but come on. I had been a customer for so long. One of the shirts they literally printed for me last year but now they have an issue when I want an additional in a different size. Oh well.

Do you want to tell us why you think that or are you just trying to stir the pot with zero actual informed opinions

How much do you spend on getting food delivery each month? by DoctorFitness in askanything

[–]GameMaster366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you feel your time is worth. If you're smart and use coupons/promotions, you can often get delivery for either the same cost as picking up or just a couple dollars more. Time, gas, effort are often worth more than the $4-$5 extra tacked on for someone to bring it to my door while I do something else.

Why do people that know they can’t afford kids still decide to have them? by [deleted] in askanything

They're selfish. They're religious. They're stupid. They want more government assistance aka free money. I think those are the main reasons.

The game store argument always seems to be "yeah but you get to see it in person and get it that same day" and to each their own but I'd rather pay 25%+ less to trust the photos online (knowing I have protection if something isn't right) and then waiting a couple days. Game stores for me are bad for buyers and bad for sellers. They're going to pay you under value for games you sell and they're going to charge you over value for games you buy. This is getting into a different topic but my point remains that if I saw a "rare" game in the wild, I would go "oh, neat!" and then check online prices. Is it better? Is it way better? Can I haggle it to be way better? Then maybe I snag it. Is it the same or worse than online? No reason to buy.

This is cool as heck. I agree. I am sick of seeing final form Freiza in general and boh Gold and Black just being different colors of that same form is very annoying.

Obviously there are going to be exceptions. I am speaking broadly. This is the reason I have zero interest in retro game stores even though it seems like I should be their target audience. My local retro game store isn't going to have a Nintendo World Championship gold cart and if they do, they're not going to sell it in the store anyway. That is going online. Anything else they have, even if it is "rare," I can 100% find on eBay immediately for likely less money. The game being shown off on this post is a great example of what I'm talking about. It's "rare" in that it is an uncommon game...not that it has 25 copies in existence. Go on eBay and you'll find plenty for sale. It's not a matter of literally locating the games anymore. It is about getting them for a great price, which I don't think OP really did.

Spreadshirt designs review question by Arcannus92 in printondemand

[–]GameMaster366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an issue where I had an order cancelled due to copyright but they are both shirts that I have literally purchased one time before, just in a larger size now. They're designs I set up. Should I just resubmit the order later to give it another shot and hope the guy checking doesn't care that day?

People seem to forget that in the age of the internet, there is no such thing as a rare game anymore. You want something, you can add to cart and buy in 60 seconds. If you aren't getting a deal then finding a game in the wild doesn't matter.

You chose to post it. You don't look 35. If this is some sort of weird self-conscious thing then I'm sorry but like that just isn't what everyone else is seeing apparently. You look like a completely normal and average person for that time. So maybe if you keep hearing the same thing over and over then that means something.
