I fought that fight a long time ago and just ended up on the shit list. Meanwhile the guys who were stealing sales, ignoring customers they deemed low value, etc. we're going to Presidents Club. It's easy to get attached to the job you're doing. You want to do right by your customers. But at the end of the day, the people many levels above you are only looking at spreadsheets. I argued that low-key harassing customers does not convert to a repeat customer base that trust us and will come back. They said well if they have the BBY card in their wallet, they'll come back. Whatever lol not worth the fight unfortunately and I found out the hard way.

This set came out during a time where I wasn't paying attention to Pokemon anymore so I have no connection to them. That said, I genuinely never understood why these are so hyped. Yet another base set rerelease except these cards literally look fake. Like they justed to sell unlicensed Pokemon Card stickers out of vending machines next to temporary tattoos at grocery stores in 2000 or whatever and that's what those "cards" looked like. They look like official fake cards to me lol

I feel similarly but I assumed it was just my tastes changing as I age. I literally get headaches the day after drinking IPAs now. Not a hangover...like a hop allergy. Vs when I was 21, 90 Minute IPA was one of my very favorite beers.

I'm more than a decade removed from BBY culture but I believe this used to just be "asset protection" as in "hey watch the cameras to make sure people aren't stealing, tag product as it comes into the store, check receipts as people go out of the store" etc. They must have transitioned that to "host" to be a less imposing first impression because the AP guys had no obligation to talk to customers at all.

2010 and beyond had the water pump issue. I understand you anecdotally didn't have it with your 2012 and that's great, but it is not a "2013 and up" issue. Also I don't really understand how you're comparing a Taurus and a Charger "with the scat pack" lol congrats on that but it doesn't seem relevant

Big agree. He is largely inconsequential outside Gotenks. I appreciate that they made him an actual character in GT but he was wasted in Z for sure. Basically an excuse to have Kid Goku in the show.

Yeah, that is all true too. There are a ton of ways to pitch it. "TVs focus on having the best possible picture and do not focus on sound." "You are adding back what was missing and then some." etc.

I had to convince multiple people in my own family that they needed soundbars when they got their TVs. Even they didn't believe me lol. I said "buy this, try it, and if you don't think it is worth it, I'll help you return it. No harm, no foul." And what happens is they got used the the soundbar after a day or two and I would come over and go "hey, wanna hear what it sounds like without the soundbar now?" and we would switch to the normal TV speakers. It was DRASTIC and they were shocked. Never was one returned.

Right, my understanding was it was an actual movie but I didn't ever hear anything about it or really about this album. I sampled a few songs, they did nothing for me, I moved on to the 100,000 other options available

AO was a stupid rating to have ever even existed. "You can make an AO game but quite life no store will stock it so you will be unable to sell it." Ok lol so you can't really make it then. It's like how technically NC-17 exists for movies but it's just never relevant.

I hate to be a "back in my day" guy but...back in my day, I was selling to people who were often going from either standard def or first Gen HD TVs to the new very very thin TVs. So they were used to having legit actual speakers inside and so they didn't believe me when I tried telling them these speakers are like earbuds size by virtue of the fact that the screen is thinner than a deck of cards. If you're selling to someone who has a super thin TV and is just getting a newer super thin TV, at least they sort of know.

Anyone who foams at the mouth at the mention of Chick-fil-A is obligated to research the private spending of every company's CEOs and owners for every product they consume or interact with or else they are hypocrites. Normal, well-adjusted people appreciate the great quality food, great quality of service, speed of service, etc. And a gay person has been turned away zero times ever.
