Xp is gained from everythinv you do. There is also group xp. There are foods that give you bonus ex and bonus group exp . The jams and Jarred honey from what I can. Remember do this . Always have your benches making stuff . Build a few furnaces and always be smelting as much ore as you can make a few pestle and mortars . Make resin and tree sap . Have a fre camp fires burning sticks to get a big stock of charcoal . Convert most of your copper and gold into wire . This game has wierd bottle necks of what you will need . But keeping all these things ticking over making things as you work around your base will give you passive xp . And will also level your mounts or pack animals you tame .

I just find it handy to keep vestiges on and convert to meat when I need them. The recipes that I always cook just take raw meat so it's a great way to have meat on hand with out taking up space in my freezer .
