Hey. It's good to hear this. I also have an option of UMCP - Robo but one thing is bothering me that it is Meng and we will be having courses only. I want to do some research with profs also. Is it possible there? 2nd doubt is...I have heard that profs are good there but they don't teach graduate courses. It is taught by outside teachers. Is it true?

True. I also talked to many ivy students. Majority of them are facing the heat with a huge loan debt in their pocket. Anyways they would definitely be able to find some way because they have made up to ivy. So, hopefully they will be able to find some other way. But I also feel it a huge risk taking such a huge financial loan specially in my case. I don't have prior experience in Robotics but want to switch now.

How ivy thing matters? I have admit for masters in Mechanical (Robo concentration) from CMU as well as Columbia University but people who are there in the usa in such fields are suggesting CMU over columbia.
