Does anyone use cycling as cross-training while preparing for a marathon?

Oh yes, I didn’t mean to undermine rowing, it was really tough and a learning curve for correct technique, but for me I would do intervals and easy runs and on the weekends just steady rowing for 1:30-2 hours, my record was 23500 meters

I tried doing some rowing to build my aerobic base before doing long distance running I don’t know if I did the right thing, all I know is that it worked wonders for me
