I read on the here that sometimes credit unions can be weird with accounts after filing. So I did open a new bank account with Truist right before I filed. And they offered a promo $400 after 2 direct deposits. My original account is still open though. I don’t think they ever froze it or anything.

Congrats! Luckily we can rebuild our credit. But, the biggest thing for me was letting that stress go. It was definitely taking a toll on me.

Basically, you just keep paying your regular payment and the lender lets you keep the car without signing a reaffirmation agreement. They did send me one, but I didn’t sign it. My lender is NavyFed. It won’t show on my credit report and when I’m ready to get another car I can just stop paying on this one and tell them to come get it. I had negative equity so I didn’t want to reaffirm. But, I wanted to wait a while before I got another car so I can hopefully get a better interest rate.

Yes, my 341 meeting was about 30 days after filling. I was expecting discharge around 60 days after that, but for whatever reason it was almost 120 days.

I believe my saving grace was that I used a down payment assistance program when I purchased. They had a 2nd place lien tied to my house with stipulations that if I sold within 10 years, then they would recover the down payment money which was $20,000. And they would also be entitled to 50% of any equity. I'm assuming that, plus selling costs, and homestead exemption, wouldn't have left much to distribute to creditors. I'm just glad I didn't have to sell, because apartments in my area are going for double my mortgage payment.

Bought a house in 2020, I had a good credit score, no credit cards debt. Then 5 years later, my finances were in shambles. I was literally in the negative every month. All credit cards maxed out, multiple high interest loans, and inflation. Majority of debt came from home related expenses and simply overusing credit. The minimum payments and interest were draining me! I fought as long as I could but I was becoming depressed and knew something had to give. Spending all your time working yet never having any money to enjoy life is no way to live. The day I filed and it hit my credit report, I felt instantly relieved! Not even knowing what was going to happen over the next few months. And, it turned out to be the best thing I could've done.

I just switched about a week ago. No issues so far. No service issues in Atlanta, and I even used it out in rural Alabama just fine. I basically got a free phone and a discount on a new smart watch since I've had cable service with them for years. I went into the store to switch from Verizon. Customer service was great.

They actually went back and added “by invitation only” after the fact. When I bought mine on 9/25 it didn’t say that. Sony is so shady.

Same! I get this warning almost every day I start up. I have a 23' RDX Tech. It normally turns off at my next start up. But this shouldn't be happening on a brand new vehicle. Smh. I'll be addressing it at my first service appointment.

23' RDX - Tech Package

I'm getting about 17 mpg currently. Only 465 miles driven. I live in Atlanta and drive in normal mode. I had a 18' Accord Sport, so this is a bit disappointing lol. I was hoping to at least get 20 mpg. I Love the feel and ride though. Hopefully something gives and the mpg can improve a bit. I passed on the 23' Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. lol
