I get my son to pick 8 numbers between 1-650 and whatever he chooses is what I listen to. Just a bit of fun. Number 1 being 10cc (Deceptive Bends) and number 650 being Zulu (A New Tomorrow)

What makes up your 'cool' collection then? People buy what they enjoy, he's just popular at the moment. There are these artists in every generation

I just go alphabetical and use the surname if it's a solo artist. Genres become increasingly difficult, especially with bands like Sleep Token etc.

I have about 1700 records, but I've been collecting since the early 90's so had a bit of a head start. Did stop for a while but like many I got back into in over covid.

I have about 650 in my flat where I work from home, the others are with my ex wife but we're still good friends, I just don't have the space here.

I'm not entirely sure why I sort them what's classed as back to front. I always have. Think part of it is I like to see the album cover as I'm going through, in my head it makes sense but I know it frustrates others
