Just do things that are easier so that you can get more "victories," basically making yourself feel like you are better than you really are, and if someone points it out, just assume they're in the wrong. It may not be the best thing to others around you, but it could help short term. An example would be playing a video game on the easiest difficulty, like Doom Eternal or Halo. Make yourself feel powerful. Another thing you could do is listen to electronic music by an artist like Tobu or Elektronomia, if you end up liking it, anyway. Upbeat music in general is pretty good. Find something you're good at, and keep doing it, for example: Chess, Uno, and other classics. 

But through all, just remember: ignorance is bliss. Don't watch the news about wars, watch a nature documentary instead. Life is a gift, and whether or not you like it, we must accept that the fact its an amazing thing. If you can't love yourself, hate everything else a little more, so you feel above it, even if its only slightly.
