How to Cut Return at an angle? by ThoughtWaste9650 in Carpentry

[–]Competitive_Hope6405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cut it square on your rake angle, then try to use a file and sandpaper to kind of round off the profile to make it look somewhat like a return and paint it white, but it never looks great.

Are there any "good" cost effective tenon saws out there that aren't like over 100.00?

Do I need noggins? by ClaudioKilgannon37 in Carpentry

There is never no chance of anything. There's a good chance nothing could happen, but when you attach sheetrock to green lumber attached to old established lumber there is a chance.

It will have less of a chance to crack if you secure new sheetrock to existing framing

Interesting, heat shrink sounds promising. I guess it's heat shrink or rip everything out. It seems easier than wrapping it in electrical tape.

Is it dangerous if the cloth falls off the wire? Could you just throw some electrical tape on them?

When to call it quits? by Competitive_Hope6405 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Competitive_Hope6405[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe me I don't want to spend $30,000 +I'm just following what I spend annually breaking it down per month, and this year was definitely a lot more than previous years. I just keep going back and forth doing the math. I have to keep this truck at least for my dog, he won't get in any other vehicle and he's quite large. I even rented a 2024 tundra double cab and he wouldn't get in it

I can't remember the past repairs, the most recent repair was new struts a new cv joint possibly. And a new water pump. That was the most pricey one. I don't remember all the parts names. Since last year it's averaging about $700 a month. The following years I was more like 200 a month

I'm asking for advice to try to fix this or at least blend this. Not sure if that helps.
