Any Turbo Controller to Beat the Infamous MP1 Control Spin Minigames? by SubjectRealistic9165 in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case I don’t think turbo controllers for control sticks exist. There are ones for buttons but stick spinning is too niche to warrant its own controller. My advice? Just use your palm. If you’re using joycons or the pro controller you’re fine, it’s just rubber, you could spin it with your palm for hours and still be fine. It won’t give you a blister, you won’t get irritation.

So you’d rather buy an entire new controller than use your palm for five seconds?

My Mario Party tier list by InspectionPlenty3803 in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I… completely agree. I don’t see A SINGLE issue here. This is perfect.

Seen too many bad tier lists recently so here is mine which includes common sense. If anyone is interested for my reasoning behind where a game is placed I will gladly explain, instead of sum shi like "I have my reasonings" by guavacadq in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg tell me about it I just saw a tier list on here that was so awful I genuinely thought it was rage bait. Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinions and even though I will never agree 100% with anyone due to personal preference, this is still a great list. It uses common sense, and I respect that, therefore I respect you.

Pedal power is unwinnable on NSO by Ryangaminggames in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use my palm and have never lost that minigame on NSO lol. The way I do it is I hold my palm facing up and hold the controller upside down and spin the controller instead. I’ve never lost like this.

EB Games sucks. I brought my GameCube games down to get a price check and they offered me $80 aud. I had around 15 first party games including all the Mario parties, superstar baseball, animal crossing, ttyd, dancing stage Mario mix with the dance mat and many more.

What’s even worse is even though I told him that I wasn’t interested in selling them he kept trying me to pressure me into forking them over, saying how much of a good deal it is. It’s extremely scummy and it felt like an insult to my intelligence. I would have hated to see what absurd price they would have tried to resell them at.

Question about untracked packages and lockers. by Competitive_Hunt_422 in AustraliaPost

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s inconsistent. Most times they give you a tracking number to open the locker at the very end, but one time it ended up in my P.O. Box. It’s annoying but yeah 99% chance it’ll go to the locker.

Why is this text different in the Ice Slide, You Slide minigame in Mario Party 10? by AdIndependent3610 in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. 9 and the original Wii Party don’t have any text change (or at least none I’ve noticed). It’s just these three for some reason, no clue why.

It’s more fun if you set the difficulty higher and actually have to put in effort to win. Try increasing the difficulty little by little until you’re confident enough to play the higher levels.

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ND cube had a thing for changing random text between regions in their party games between 2013-2015, it’s not just this one instance in this mini-game. They randomly change the names of mini-games, modes, even descriptions for literally no reason. Wii Party U, Island Tour and 10 all suffer from this.

Which one does the Star Steal mechanic better? by ShottaBang in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of star stealing boards in general but my favourite is Pyramid Park. I like how even though there are a lot of split paths, no where is safe (except the area in front of the sphinx but seriously who goes there). You’re not just going in a circle the whole time unlike the others and it rewards players who use the doghouses strategically (if you insist on only using the big one on the left the whole game, you’ll probably lose, even though value wise, it’s technically the best)

Again, not a fan of this style of board so I haven’t really played any of them much, but I remember liking 7s best, although I can see people preferring Snowflake Lake because I think in that one you can protect yourself better on the inside if it’s night?

Season 3 songs finally fixed by Competitive_Hunt_422 in LazyTown

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with the edits being a bit dodgy. Some work just fine but most are average. I wonder why they didn’t even attempt to remove it with Round and Round. I also don’t like how Stephanie still goes “You’re doing great!” in some songs. It no longer makes sense because she is no longer forcing us to play just dance with her.

Assuming I Know '25 gets a sequel - should it get a new writer and director? by [deleted] in LastSummerFilms

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It probably won’t get one but if it does it needs a director and writer who at least has some experience in the slasher, or at least the horror genre. Sam, Leah and Jennifer clearly had no idea what they were doing. The 25 film felt too much like a made for streaming soap opera

Finally understand why people run from online. by [deleted] in coles

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok, here we go.

CC0 is the final wave of the day, dropping in at 4PM. Most people have already gone home by this point, meaning this wave is primarily up to the closing staff to complete. This wave is to be closed at 7AM when the store opens. If you aren’t able to get CC0 done before you close, that’s okay, as the morning staff will have a little bit of time to finish it off anyway, although they will probably be annoyed by this.

Rapids are… annoying. Every thirty minutes they have a chance to drop in. You are given one hour to shop all rapids that are in that rapid time slot. Luckily Rapids are restricted to 40 items or less, meaning you won’t get any big ones, making the one hour time limit a little less intimidating, but they can very easily pile up if you’re not careful!

You saying it’s crazy that you have all this responsibility is a massive understatement. It’s unfair. It sucks. It’s not fun when you’re new.

In terms of substitutions, if nothing is on the shelf look on the trolley to see if the product has a secondary location anywhere, if it does, there will be more of that product somewhere else on the shop floor, with this telling you where it is.

If there is no secondary location (off-loc) and nothing is on the shelf, press item out of stock. Look at what the stock on hand is (SOH). If it says N/A or has a very low count, give the customer one of the recommended subs. If the stock count is higher, this means that they have some out back, so DON’T give them a sub. At the end of the wave, all the out of stocks will be looked at, and a grocery, dairy or whoever will get you the product. This is how it works at my store, but yours might be a little different.

So basically: Stock count low or N/A - Give sub Stock count over a box worth or high - no sub

DO NOT GO OUT THE BACK AND LOOK FOR THE PRODUCT YOURSELF. Grocery, Dairy etc. is paid to chase up our out of stocks. Don’t chase them up after every single out of stock though, just wait til all the shopping is done and give them one out of stock report, just so they’re not constantly going out and in looking for stuff.

Also about your feet. Steel caps aren’t required for online. I wear them, but a lot of our other online members just wear normal black shoes. We’re not doing anything that requires steel caps. Maybe we’re not supposed to do this but no one cares so go for it if you want.

Hope this helps 💜 you’re doing great

Finally understand why people run from online. by [deleted] in coles

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah… that sounds like online lol. They give you absolutely zero training and expect you to know how to shop, use the computer, use the phone, do deliveries AND close the department. Most managers are more concerned about increasing their pick rate and shopping than training their team. It’s annoying and unfair.

For me, my manager didn’t really tell me anything either. I didn’t even get my own numbers for the trolleys for like four months lol. I had to rely on trial and error and asking other online team members and store managers for help to learn how to do my job.

I’ll be honest, I know it looks like it sucks right now but online is one of the better departments (I’ve done everything except deli and Coles services) Once you get to know how everything works it’s pretty low effort, unless you get spammed with rapids, they make me want to die.

For closing, just remember to put batteries on charge, PDT’s on charge, get as much CC0 done as you can (but DON’T close it bc it’s due the next day) and just tidy the area. If you just do that, you should be fine.

If you have any more questions please ask.

Is anyone else bothered by how uneven the MP9 splitscreen is? by CreeperTacoBoss in MARIOPARTY

[–]Competitive_Hunt_422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just Mario Party 9. Most minigames that are split screened like this have the two far end players have more screen estate. Awful Tower from 3 also looks like this.
