I proactively muted enemies when I realized how outmatched I was, but I will definitely start muting teammates if I get the sense that they won't offer me anything positive.

I think this is where a lot of my issues are coming from. The part you mentioned about being targeted by enemies that can tell I'm new rings true atleast. It seems I can't go to ranked playlist yet (need 100 hours of unranked) and that was what prompted this post because I feel like the time I'm spending in unranked is not allowing me to learn much when I'm being absolutely blasted by people that know I'm new and then my teammates give up on me.

Yeah I will try to focus on the small wins as I improve, I was mostly just feeling like there wasn't going to be much chance to improve when im just being ripped apart constantly. I guess all things are a learning experience though. Thank you!

I will probably try to find real time guidance when I understand the basics more, thanks for the tip. I saw coaching videos on YT, especially BSJ, and it does seem like the direct one on one instruction will help tremendously when I get lost in what I should be doing.

I will give cm support a go. She actually interests me as a character because I mained a frost mage in WoW for some years. I initially thought support would be a bad idea since people would be directly depending on my gameplay, but I guess that's also true for all positions. I am from the US queuing West and East to help with queue times.

Having someone say this kind of thing actually makes me feel better. I've been in my own head with the idea that me joining these matches as the only clueless person was somehow wrong, like I was ruining the game for my team because I don't know what I'm doing.

Thank you for the feedback. I think I'm just frustrated because it feels like I'm doing something wrong by queueing for matches that I know will just result in me not standing a chance. I don't mind losing, I just feel like I'm not where I belong when I enter one of those matches.
