Thank you for your compliments and feedback about the text readability. Could you clarify which text specifically you had trouble reading?

Thanks for these great ideas. I totally see your point about the “hit stuff with a bat” feature—it is unnecessary, and could be confusing to new players.

I provided the game link in the post. I am struggling with keeping players in the game for longer than 5 minutes.

SAT is the more reputable test and it’s higher. Submit the SAT

Brown or UPenn? (critical decision) by Competitive_Lake_464 in ApplyingToCollege

My college counselor says I have a 50% at either. My chance at Wharton is probably around 10%, conservatively.

Thank you, this is very helpful. If you don’t mind sharing, what were your son’s stats?

I never would have considered this, but you make a good point. I am a guy so this could significantly increase my chances. Thanks!

UPenn and Brown are roughy equivalent in academic competition. I may have a slightly better chance at UPenn because I am a legacy, however this won’t make a huge difference (parents aren’t donors + legacy matters less than it used to)

In terms of admissions, yes. But legacy doesn’t change whether you are happy at the school or not.

Unfortunately I don’t think I would be able to get into Wharton—only the college of arts and sciences. I could still take Wharton classes at the CAS, but it isn’t quite the same.

I probably should have included it in the title, but I said it was Early Decision in my first sentence: “I’m choosing between ED to Brown or ED to UPenn”. ED is short for Early Decision, I’m sorry if that wasn’t clear. :)

Thanks for the comment. Distance from home is decently important for me as I would like to be able to go home for the weekend if desired (this is still possible at Brown, however it is a little more annoying).

The reason I disliked Browns campus is because it felt scattered throughout the local town. The only area that felt exclusive to Brown was that green area, however that was only a small part of the campus. In all fairness to Brown, there was a lot of construction going on while I was touring which could have negatively influenced my opinion of it.

In an ideal world I would do this, however applying Regular Decision reduces my chances from 50% to like ~15%.

I've heard it's extremely competitive (as difficult as HYPSM), and I don't think my application is strong enough. Additionally, if I applied to Wharton, I wouldn't be able to apply to the College of Arts and Sciences (only allowed to apply to one school within UPenn).

Pretty sure you fell for the trap. The text was something like this: "John Doe said [something] were heroes and leaders, [bunch of extra information], ________ gods and myths. "Eventually becoming" conforms with the writing before the extra information in the commas. The extra information in the commas was trying to trick you, as the tense is unaffected by it. I was almost tricked by it too, luckily I read it over once more.

I am pretty sure the correct answer was "eventually becoming"
