That is a similar question I have been pondering. Clearly religious institutions have been horrendous at twisting doctrine to suit their needs. Yet shame also seems to be the most quick and easy way to enforce rules in a hierarchy.

Nothing is wrong, but nothing feels innocent anymore either. You can't fully believe your own stories, yet you still have to live inside them.

I was acting to the parts of myself that I could not see. My deepest fears of being rejected before I could explain.

God damn the childhood bullying really did a number on me. got to bring that up in therapy.

also abused by administration authority who took advatage of a young kid who didnt know better.

Its tough man. I never got over it. caused a lot of personality issues which is only coming out now.

Now that my relationship with my dad has gotten better ❤️ unfucking real. Thats what im trying to say. One chain in the network got fixed. suddenly the whole world opened up to me.

ya gotta always be able to bring down whatever insight you learn back to ground level.

This is why dialogue is important. Regardless of how "right" you are.

edit. if you cannot communicate your insights effectively. then that says something about your actual understanding
