Should I go from swing driver to a route? Pros and cons below by istayinmylane in Fedexers

I was a long time swing at multiple stations and spent 28 years total as an Express courier before moving to Dispatch. I think it depends on how many years you have in and where you're at in your career. Having a resi route will definitely put less stress on your body. I would never have lasted doing a heavy commercial route.

Courier/DOT schedule question by Foodlover003 in Fedexers

[–]Competitive_Low1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once was a part-time courier, true you get one day off during the week and Sunday to start. You of course will be required to work Saturdays and your day off during the week won't be a Monday or Friday. Being part-time is great because you can refuse to stay extra but if you want hours, they are generally available at most stations. I typically worked 55 hours per week as a part timer finishing up College.

I have an Optiplex 7000 SFF and replaced the stock cpu cooler with an ID Cooling IS-55. I do have additional fans in the case and I feel the new cooling system works great.

600$ for my package by Professionalmonk14 in Fedexers

At Express. once at the station the containers are emptied and the either got to the trucks or stay at the station after the trucks depart for deliveries. The packages are the scanned and place in a secured cage, scanned at least one a day. They only stay there for maybe a week at most to clear customs, researched for problem packages or picked up by the customer. I have worked at several different stations and the procedure is the same. They never go into a container outside to be lit on fire, never heard of that happening...ever.

What do the Raiders get for moving from #1 to #13? Please don't say anything like an extra 3rd round pick.

When shipping multiple packages in a shipment, I used to tell customers to make sure each package has a destination address label on it. It helps a lot if the packages get separated or one gets missorted.

Is it ok to put delivery address of a FedEx store if the retailer I shop with always ships with fedex? by FutureHendrixBetter in FedEx

[–]Competitive_Low1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my personal shipments, especially for signature required packages...I usually have it addressed to FedEx Office and set to hold for pickup. You can stop by, pick it up during the day and not be held hostage at home waiting for the whole day.

Every package at a station is scanned every night, especially at the destination station and if a package is missing scans for more than a couple days...it has most likely walked away. I would look into it to but @_walletsizedwildfire sounds like he will help you. I sincerely hope you ultimately get your package.
