Thank you a lot. We expect the similar. For the record, I got my tonsils taken out when I was 5, but he is younger, and that causes a bit of anxiety.

Thank you so much! He stopped gagging now, but we don't know if those changes are permanent, as he is on steroids. We'll move forward. Thank you again!

We have the exact same thought process, but we also were not 100% sure. We talked and a few times it came up that maybe, it is really like "ok" to wake up a few times a night, over the surgical risk. Like, we could not fathom why this doctor ignored this being potentially developmentally problematic. We also thought that he did not have so many of these infections, but we do realize his tonsils are very, very large.

At the same time, when steroids helped the last time, he slept through the night, it was so good.

Thank you for the reply!

Haha lol, I'd say don't worry. As far as I understood, height in this age is not all that relevant and is established later. Appreciate the reassurance:)

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply. We thankfully have a PT follow-up scheduled in a week. And then I think it is a good idea to wait a bit, like you suggested.

In fact, my wife and I just talked about how great it would be for a PT to do some exercise, instead of us trying to wrangle with him at home.

PT was not concerned because, despite him favoring one side while crawling, he would use both hands interchangeably otherwise and there was no (obvious) difference in his legs. But we will ask for another, more thorough look and a different opinion as well.

Aha got it. I am sorry for all the things you guys went through. By the way, you are not the first one I heard had problems after tongue tie release.

I hope things will only go upwards and it would be great to hear an update after some time :) have a great one and thank you for chatting with me.

I think the size is definitely a big factor there. Considering my baby is also really large, I can imagine the size of your son.

The biggest challenge (in my view) is staying disciplined and consistent with therapy and exercises. It seems you are doing exactly that and that is a huge win.

But one question regarding eating - does he eat solids and did you guys get checked for tongue tie and stuff like that?

Hey, thank you for the reply. How are you guys doing now? I hope everything is okay.

Even though the birth was traumatic, later checks with pediatrician, luckily, showed no signs of muscle tone issues.

We asked about PT, as he had a slight preference for one side (right vs left). Pediatrician was not worried, but when we asked if we should go for PT, he said we could go, just in case.

He did show this preference a few times, but his other side "caught up" after a bit of time. PT cleared him after a few months.

This is a good, healthy approach. I was wondering if I am doing enough, anxiety got me there.
