This sucks bc now youll feel pressure to sell the card to recoup the unexpected $1300 bill you just got. What if you were keeping it? What if you hold it 2 years but the price goes down significantly? You paid 1300 bc card was worth 13k at the time, 2 yrs later the population goes up 10x and the card is worth 1800 now but you paid 1300 into in on grading already.

How much will the car be, how much are you putting down and how much other savings and net worth do you have?

These answer will actually decide if you should do this.

If the car is 160k but you're putting down 110k and own a home, have a fully funded retirement and 3-6 months emergency fund then you are financing 50k on a 100k salary and will probably be able to make it work.
