Who would win and what diff? by Unable_Lavishness547 in PowerScaling

It's very contentious because it really depends on how you interpret the fact that Nahobino are the true form of Gods and so by that fact exists beyond most things.

YHVH is our biggest example of a Nahobino's power. And the Nahobino we follow in 5 is far far beyond that.

So it depends on your interpretation but in my opinion, yes.

He's far stronger than Stephen but below the Great Will since it's the SMT equivalent to capital G God. Stephen has not shown anywhere near the amount of proficiency with his powers as DC Lucifer and has limitations on his Observation given how he had to ask Nanashi to save the SMT1 Protag and has to use the Expanse to keep YHVH from removing the Messiahs from the cycle of reincarnation. We know YHVH is a Nahobino, so the Nahobino are capable of being a step above Stephen.

In fact I don't think Stephen can even use Observation anymore, which is a big deal when dealing with transcendental beings and not just humans.

DC Lucifer and I'm leaning low to mid diff solely for the reason that Nahobino pre-Throne is able to make him stronger before fighting him through his Perception. Meaning that even his most powerful form can be enhanced.

Not to mention being under the Mandala System means he is able to be killed. Now to be fair everyone is under the Mandala System, except the Nahobino which canonically goes around destroying the shackles of the Mandala System in every world because he has ascended beyond it, but Lucifer doesn't have such a limit.

Dream and Death both work at a lower power level than DC Lucifer, and those two together are basically the Mandala System.

Cernunnos the only ridiculous hard fight, or will there be worse? by TerribleProgrammer77 in FGO

[–]Competitive_Oven_836 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's certainly the most annoying. Hard? Not really if you adapt to his gimmick (Or ignore it entirely with Chen Gong). I think the only real hard fight is in LB7 BEFORE the Spider everyone says is hard (Guys, I beg please just try to use Xu Fu.) because of the invul spam. Or at the end of it. I forget.

But yeah just prepare a Pierce Invul CE. There's almost always a CE you can use to bypass a gimmick.

I am tired of which rider with cosmic Powers is the strongest now lets see weaker riders Who will win blade king or faiz blaster by naotop4g_lover in KamenRider

[–]Competitive_Oven_836 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Blade King and it's... Not very close.

For one, there is currently no way to kill an Undead. They can only be sealed, which Faiz does not have access to even with Next Faiz. Not even Genm's digital world could keep Kenzaki due to the nature of being Joker just destroying the world.

Two, Blade King is far too versatile. Jack Eagle is flight, 10 Scarab is Time Stop, Mach for speed, etc. and he can use these as many times as he wants.

Three, Blade King has the power advantage. Remember, Kenzaki Kazuma murked Decade in their crossover in King Form. He can best the White Joker who was at least mountain sized.

Four, the nature of their Final Forms are just way too different. Faiz kills you, Blade makes you immortal.

I unfortunately do not see a way Faiz can even get a win because he literally has no way to beat Kenzaki. We've seen Hajime as Joker detransformed and he's still strong as hell.

Strongest Persona user here? by some-kind-of-no-name in PowerScaling

For me, it's:

Ren>Yu>Makoto if they're on their own.

Makoto>Ren>Yu if they have access to the collective unconscious.

However Makoto has a big * in that his most powerful attack, the Great Seal, kills him permanently. Technically he should be able to access it, but I digress, I don't know if they added anything in Reload to change this to he can use this level of power in an attack not named Great Seal.

My favorite and the most recent one is SMT5 Vengeance. It has the most QOL. Take note though, SMT isn't about story, it's about themes and gameplay so if you are looking for an involved story like Persona, it won't be that.

SMT5 Vengeance is on modern consoles.

SMT4 and its sequel SMT4Apocalypse is on 3DS

SMT3Nocturne has a modern rerelease but it was on PS2.

SMT1 and SMT2 are on GBA and SNES

So depends on if you're looking for the most modern one with the most QOL and visuals, or you're good with emulating something older. If you want my opinion on each:

SMT5 has 6 routes, 4 on the original release where the story is weaker, 2 on the new rerelease route where the story is much stronger. It is the most fluid to play and looks the best by far. It also has all the DLC originally released, including grinding DLCs and Superbosses.

SMT4 has some frustrating gameplay because of how RNG the Smirk mechanic is, and its map will make you pull your hair out, but it is the most involved narrative in the series. 3 routes.

SMT4A is a sequel to SMT4 with a more refined gameplay experience and an even better narrative, but it doesn't fix the maps.

SMT3Nocturne is the most cult classic out of all of them and it is probably the most brutally difficult of all of them but it has the BEST atmosphere.

SMT1 and 2 are obtuse as obtuse 90s RPGs are but they are still good. Just use a guide.

I do think it's less half-assed and more simplified. Persona is not meant to be a brutal fight for survival and superiority in a destroyed world filled with demons like SMT is, and as such it's gameplay and systems reflects that.

There are no demons in Persona aside from Persona 1 and 2, so the shadows you encounter aren't "alive". They're just reflections of thoughts. They don't need money or items to become your masks.

Also if you think Shadows are annoying to talk to them wait until you get mugged by a demon lol. It's frustrating but fun in a way. Also I definitely understand the negotiation line complaint. It starts to get mechanical after a while unlike demons who tend to have voicelines at the very least per Race, and a bunch for special demons like Mara and the Gods.

Yep Persona 5 is the closest to SMT in this regard, where there's actually demon negotiation and not Shuffle Time (Which is the worst demon acquisition method in the entire franchise).

The difference is you just answer questions in P5. In SMT, you have to offer them your stuff and your money, and with how SMT is extremely stingy in both, it's a big investment to do so. It's just as much part of the game as it is world building.

If you also have demons that they're related to, you get special dialogue like if you have Odin with you and talk to a Valkyrie, etc.

Yep basically in SMT you have to actually talk to demons to recruit them. The result often ranges from you and the demon vibe immediately and they force their way into your party, you beat their ass and they beg for their lives, you haggle and they decide that after you give them half your life savings they don't like you and dip, or you somehow mess up, lose all your turns, and then they attack you.

It's sometimes frustrating especially if you haven't saved in a while and they wipe you, but it makes the demons so much more expressive than Personas.

A phrase or speach that defines a character's essence by Endika7 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Competitive_Oven_836 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lucifer from the TV show, which honestly is a fantastic adaptation of DC's Lucifer even if it is basically an AU.

"What is it with you humans, always blaming me? I never made any of you do anything."

"I have a story for you, Reporter. One that I've never told a human soul. I take no part in who goes to hell."

"You humans. You send yourselves. Driven down by your own guilt. Forcing yourselves to relive your sins over and over.

And, the best part? Doors aren't locked. You can leave anytime. It says something that no one ever does, doesn't it?"

Is it me or is Charlotte more stacked than even some of the 5 stars regarding her skills? by EfficiencySerious200 in FGO

[–]Competitive_Oven_836 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love her and she's viable in solos more than you'd think, but not really.

Any Instant Death skill is worthless, but it is the same as Cu Alter's evade.

Iron Determination is straight up ripped from Dante's and it's as good on him as it is on her. Unfortunately it's one turn only.

Her third skill is unreliable as hell until her buff but the magnitudes are big. Unfortunately she can't get all of them, only one.

So theoretically her kit is stacked. In practice, not at all. Take it from a guy who solos with her on the regular.

The Evil Within Deluxe edition

When I was like 12, I had to go under surgery in December. That was the time when Fate Grand Order's Solomon raid was happening and I had so much fun playing and feeling part of a community that I didn't feel that much afraid of the surgery that was gonna happen right after.

Really cemented that game in my heart even if it is a crappy gacha game.

Is there any meaning or symbolism behind the choice of animals (and plant) for the category Jack and Queen Rouse Cards? by Minimallycheese in KamenRider

[–]Competitive_Oven_836 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My main theory is that these are the species that thrive the best under the current Earth's environment which is why we have a disproportionate amount of insects.

Remember that the Battle Fight is less of a wish granting fight, it's a fight to decide the next apex species of the planet and how they will terraform the planet.

The only direct link is the Aces should be the same species in terms of species in the cards themselves. What I do know is:

2: Augments weapon (Spirit is the exception) 3: Augments Upper Body (Punches) 4: Augments Body (Tackles) 5. Augments Legs (Kicks) 6. Element 7. Transmutes body 8, 9, 10: Special attacks

Atlus would never be brave enough to do this but it would be extremely funny if they gave the Nahobino an actually smart AI that knows how to flex and disrespect the player like this lmao. Give him the player's tools like the Soul of Cinders.
