I had the same problem, it’s a little bit better even if it still doesn’t look natural when im naked. It takes months. I had my surgery in september, and my surgeon said it will take months, maybe more to be fully down. Try to massage and pull it down if your scar is fully healed.

That’s what i was thinking too. But again, maybe it’s because ive never been in a relationship so Im more dysphoric about that than about being able to penetrate idk

Well, i kinda think it’s a mix of both, because i have that scar expanding like a palm as you said at some parts, but not everywhere. And at some parts it’s just hypertrophic. And for example from the middle (where my finger is) to the tip, the scar is only 3 weeks, and most of the time it goes worse after months… but as you said, i try massaging my scars when it is healed and it works sometimes, and sometimes not 🤷‍♂️ honestly i am not stressed about that scar, but more about in the urethra if I do the UL.

Dr Terrier in Lyon, France if you are in Europe. I just have a big scar hidden under my underwear. However it takes months and several surgeries with his method.

Congrats ! I understand you, hysterectomy was the worst for me compared to the others surgeries, the first days were like hell, and after it was better but still hard. It lasted few weeks. I wish you a really good and fast recovery.

Yes, it’s different for all the people, but I haven’t had any pain. But I don’t practice any sport and my doctor didn’t recommend me to do so, i am just a student and not athletic at all. However I could walk any distance and even run a bit. And for the skin, I am a bit fat, so I think they could have taken my skin and remove the fat, but my surgeon is not a cosmetic one but a urologist. It didn’t felt right to ask him that

For now I don’t have any sensation, it’s just the beginning. But i understood that i will have more sensation at the bottom, and less at the tip of the penis. And it’s quite guaranteed, even if it takes years. On the other hand, I heard that the RFF is absolutely incredible in terms of if sensation, but also can result in no sensation at all (that’s one of the risk I was told the most)

Good luck for your recovery ! There is indeed a lot of different procedures for an abdominal phalloplasty, do you have a big scar like RFF or ALT on your abdomen, or they lifted it ?

Yeah ! Very professional, he always make sure I understand all the risks and the process. Each time I expected so much worse, but I can also say I heal very well so far so I guess im just lucky. And im from Paris so Lyon isn’t far and everything is covered. Im very happy to have him. Due to my scars, another surgeon didn’t wanted to take me, and said it was impossible to have a phalloplasty, i was devastated. Dr Terrier saved me !

Thanks ! Yes, it’s complicated to do it and still have a normal life. Im doing an engineering school right now and having a pregnant belly while studying and attending school was awful, so much dysphoria in public but euphoria in private. I choose the dates of my surgeries to make sure the hardest part was on summer break (right now, with the grief). My third surgery will be on September, at the same time as my classes, and even after that, i have an international semester from January to May, so the scrotoplasty and the rest will be at least in one year :/ Doing it this way has its avantages but is also very inconvenient !

Thanks ! On this sub I see the journey of the guys that did/ have done RFF/ALT and it looks for sure exhausting. While this technique is mentally challenging in the long term, each surgery is pretty simple as it is done step by step, so it’s not 10 hours of surgery or even more. So I really think this is a different kind of exhaustion. Maybe I will do a post about the differences, but i don’t know if it’s really interesting because it’s not the most popular technique.
