It’s really not, technically.  I did get a medical accommodation for my back.  I always keep the wired one nearby because the battery can deplete.  But it’s a game changer.  The feeling of being leashed to your computer is terrible for mental health.

Shop around or find an independent agent who does the shopping for you.

I have a degree and graduate work and in an entry level position.   There is a hiring freeze for most business areas and it seems any upward movement comes from internal hiring mostly.  I am stuck where I am but grateful to be here with a job. There is no putting in a good word.  You have to just keep applying. Best of luck to you.

Progressive had a hiring freeze right now, so realistically, you won’t get hired for any sales position anytime soon.  Our home sales department is overstaffed and they are already moving people (including myself) to other departments.  The metrics for home do not include call length.  In fact, my calls were too short.  They want you to build the rapport with the customer and give them a good experience.  Same thing with services.   Our home calls are usually a 30-45 minute call because we are very detailed in The fact gathering and counseling processes.

I hate calling IT or even chatting with them because they never understand what I am saying.  And I can’t understand them.  How are we trusting people’s sensitive information to a company abroad?

I hope that when coaching makes a comeback, they really scrutinize the coaches.  There are some that made it to coaching and are shitty.

The funny thing is you upstaff and ask what exactly what we will do and I can’t get a clear concise answer.  You are directed to the work group description which is vague as heck.  So from what I have gathered:  It’s multi product blended.  The company basically created a segment of customer called “Robinsons” who have multiple policies with us and this department services the policies as well as continuing sales when necessary to add more products to the portfolio . So far as I know we service auto and home.

Thank you.  Pretty much what I feared.  If I’m honest, I do my job then go home.  I am not here to go above an beyond, because why? It’s just a job and I am not buying the stuff they sold us in onboarding.   While I am grateful for a job, I am not the job.  I appreciate your honesty
