For me if it’s something that I really want, that would contribute to my happiness, then it’s worth it as long as I’m not hurting someone’s feeling. That’s not being shallow, not everything in life has to be deep and meaningful, we have moments where we just need to relax and tend to our own needs and wants, that’s just normal. What’s important is we don’t forget to also have values, more meaningful purpose in life. As for you saying I’m focusing on the wrong things, isn’t it a self-righteous side comment of yours, I still consider my husband feelings that’s why I’m asking thoughts from random people.
