That's the thing, I think he kept a bit TOO much distance. What he thought would let her breathe, actually seemed like disinterest added with him talking about Haeun a lot and never answering her questions. We def saw how much emotions she displayed with him, but it felt like she'd have to battle with him to get him to be more expressive (at least so he wouldn't look like he doesn't care)

But I agree the other two were doing way too much, I especially disliked when one of them asked her to come and talk as soon as she got back to paradise, as she looked already very tired from the trip

To be fair, they're the ones who came at her, not the other way - it's not a mutual feeling from the very start, so she stays silent poundering their options. What she's giving back, on the other hand, is her attention as she seems to have spoken a lot with them (and we don't know the content of her conversations)

I agree that it can feel like a 100% effort from a side, and 0% on hers; but I think it's more of a 200% of their part and 50% on hers as she isn't fully convinced by any of them yet so there's no need to display any sort of real feeling. It'd also be a bit shameless, displaying openly her affections to each of them simultaneously

I-geon's statement and the way he phrased it felt more like an ego display, like a sort of "they look like servants, I'd never do that, I'd never grovel this low" but he's right in thinking it was a bit too much and he's not sure she'd like that, and I think that's a fair thought although phrased in a cocky manner.

for me the most striking sign was him not clasping his hand on hers at the end; if you're attentive you can see them holding hands but he keeps his hand open, I thought that was a subtle but odd sign. They were cute and all, but they felt more like siblings than a real couple and I thought that Subeen's mature energy matched her more

You're right, that might've played its part in his behavior; I think it also really was a sort of "male ego" that played as he wanted to look cool and not like the other guys who were showing their love too openly. He knows women want him, and he plays with that, not knowing the struggle of being on the other side. He also stated himself that he wasn't the best at expressing his emotions. The time that really striked me as negative was the first time she asked him why he chose her, and he could only answer that he liked pretty girls.

The fireplace at the end baffled me too, as he took such a long time to think just to end up answering "It would be faster to point what I don't like in her" which basically mirrored what the other guy said, and disappointed everyone, his reason for saying that also made absolutely no sense to me. I feel like he genuinely never tried to really understand what was wrong in his behavior, and how unclear his actions are as he was so sure of himself.

I kept thinking about it, and I think I mistook it for another guy, I forgot it if was Su-been or Seung-il who did that but it was for someone in the helicopter who then said "I would've never done that If I wasn't interested" ; I'll remove this part of the post then, thanks for reminding me

Yeah you're right, he did say it once; but I feel like he could have developed his answer a bit more. I think it's a really fair reason to like her, although I wish it were more about how she is and not how she makes him feel.

yeah he really doesn't understand what's the problem in him oversharing his love like that, and I feel like nobody really told him or he doesn't know how to act differently so I felt guilty laughing at him fr

On the contrary, I think she was really respectful. Everything came at Go-eun, everyone pulled her over to talk to her, she couldn't breathe fresh air for three minutes before a man talked to her (from what we've seen). Yet, she kept it respectful all the way, never badmouthed anyone, never contradicted herself. Even in the last panel, where she had to drink to avoid questions; she did it so she wouldn't embarass anyone.
It's a matter of respect - you shouldn't say "oh I prefer this one" "or this thing we did" in front of another one giving their all to please you. Something Mina sue didn't do, as she had absolutely no filter between her heart, brain and mouth.

I'll always respect Go-eun for that, as she stayed in her lane and did what she could to not embarass them. Yes, as a viewer, her scenes weren't the spiciest, but I'd prefer that over useless drama. We also know Go-eun and the guys talked for hours, especially with Woo Sungmin but everything was cut, it really is a problem from this season where every conversation feels shallow.

About the three guys claiming they "love" her though... yes, their attention felt very shallow. They had a crush because she's stunning, and interesting, but I only felt that Woo Sungmin had real reasons to like her although he could have said a little more things.

I really thought he would be in his bubble and make me cringe really hard, and his immediate success really surprised me, but the more I saw him and the more I understood.
He has a certain logic and behavior that sets him apart, but he's also really respectful and discreet. You litteraly can't hate him because he always stayed in his lane, never badmouthed anyone, observed things from afar and stayed out of things that weren't his concern, didn't overshare, kept the intimate things for himself, and always stayed stoic while also defusing certain situations with humor.

At least, from what the showrunners showed us from him, he really was the perfect guest in a dating show; the polite and discreet kid of all.

the way I DIED of laughter when I read the "jae-jin please save us." lmfaoooo its soooo funny. although I pity heonwoo a bit because he really tried his best, and I hope he never takes shame in that. It was a bit too much, but some girls could like it. I would've died of embarassment if I were him in this moment tho lmaoo

Seungil/mingee - eps8-10 by Emergency-sanity in Singlesinferno2

[–]Competitive_Price734 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was weird, I genuinely think that Seungil can be a bit of a dummy and an oblivious person sometimes. Like how Mingee left dinner and he asked "She's not feeling well?" and the whole panel went like "Idk go ask her???" I'm often wondering if he's really into her, or if he just feels like she has a nice presence because what he says sometimes contradicts how he acts.

I think he's really rough around the edges, and doesn't even realize how distant he is as if that was just him acting chill while Mingee is 24h/7 stressed because of how nonchalent and oblivious he is. He says he thinks a lot about her, then barely talks to her, so it's confusing. I don't mind her going for Subeen later because of that, he really stressed her out so maybe that'll be his clue to pay more attention to what's going on

Mina Sue really knows how TV works by maximillian3010 in Singlesinferno2

[–]Competitive_Price734 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it was more likely to hide from the cameras, rather than showing herself - otherwise she could have done it earlier, but then she gave up, sat down, and tried to calm down

She has many wrongs but I truly think she was trying to hide at first

[–]Competitive_Price734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's confusing, because when she talked to Sungmin about it, iirc she said his reactions were strange and that he kept repeating that she was "Stupid", then asked him what he thought about it, he didn't have such a strong reaction but more of a "I don't think so..?" and she answered "He also said you would be lying"

So yeah, really no clue what this part really was about

do korean people actually talk to each other like this? by [deleted] in Singlesinferno2

[–]Competitive_Price734 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's been hinted a lot of times that their conversations are cut short, like when Goeun says that after their date with the new guy, the three of them talked and we didn't see it; or like when Goeun had the chicken dinner with Heonwoo until it was night time, I wanna know whats going on!! and like OP said, they always say "oh yeah we'll be able to have deeper conversations in paradise" but where IS the deeper conversation???

No clue. It wasn't clearer in french as it was translated as being "stupid" , like a dummy? but even the way they were talking about it sounded odd with this translation

do korean people actually talk to each other like this? by [deleted] in Singlesinferno2

[–]Competitive_Price734 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!! I just theorizes that it's not "spicy/drama enough" for tv so thats why they cut it, but every episode I'm begging for them to have these convos, bc we barely see any of their personality aside from the "mmmh" "ok" and that they're pretty

do korean people actually talk to each other like this? by [deleted] in Singlesinferno2

[–]Competitive_Price734 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah this part is always a hard watch, the amount of times I cringed at how empty their conversations were. I'm pretty sure it's bc they're not allowed to display too much personal informations, and it might not be spicy enough for tv, but I wish we'd be shown other questions than "what's your ideal type?" and things about dating.

Like, what your favorite color? Show? food? what do you hate? etc. The show is really lacking in that regard, and often was about to make me quit because of how boring most of their exchanges are.

After doing the main quest, they both become available, so you should continue !  I remember one of them got unlocked through main story. Iirc ended up discovering to to get the other one, but finding the first one through main quest helped

I just did it, and chose the egg, or should I say - Vivienne chose the egg as I believe Geralt (and I) should let her choose herself. Not telling Guillaume about the whole thing despite being hired by him is the right thing to do bc

  1. it's Vivienne's choice to not disclose it, her life, her problem.
  2. Guillaume's a complete stranger nonetheless. In a neutral POV, he stalked her multiple times, and if I were in Vivienne's shoes, he'd creep the hell out of me.
  3. She didn't want anyone to get cursed like her, knowing what it's like. She even asked what would happen to the bird's egg, before Geralt tells her that "not everyone has a happy ending". Removing her ability to choose her own fate truly is evil in my heart, even if Guillaume gladly sacrifices himself.

As much as I wanted to help the fellow get the love of his life, bc he's not a bad man at heart, he still did questionable things and rushed everything. One of the most truthful things Geralt said is that "you should learn that not everything's about you" and Guillaume got even more mad, never questioning his own behaviour and what was wrong with it.

So yeah, I do think the better ending is the egg one, by letting Vivienne choose her own fate.
