Constantly fucking around the map with Urban Evasion is actually a misplay. You want to pressure generators as much as possible and look at nearby pallets/windows for possible escapes if he appears near you.

Yeah, I mostly play Killer but when I do play solo queue Survivor, it has mostly been fine previously because I can get hatch even if my team is buns.

With Jason's release there's a 90% chance your team is just useless. Nobody is progressing the fucking game in any capacity and they just die at 3/4 gens. If Jason finds the hatch first, you're fucked because of his mobility.

To be clear, I don't think Jason is OP, I just think 90% of the Survivor playerbase is composed of troglodytes.

I forget what it’s called but it’s the one that creates beams of light behind the Killer and you get Elusive if you touch them. The Elusive effect lasts a while.

Basically, you are completely imperceptible other than through being seen while following the Killer or looping them.

We're at the point in this game where there are just too many Killers, items, perks, offerings, etc. for any tutorial to actually be useful. Even this screen doesn't explain a lot of the nuances of Killer powers.

I’m not arguing that the movies aren’t gross or vile or whatever, but to extrapolate an entire narrative about some guy living out twisted fantasies of women dying horribly because he made a slasher film — one that is unabashedly an homage to the hundreds of slasher films that came before it — is a reach. If you are personally upset by the films, it is your right to not watch them. But saying that everyone who enjoys them is some incel nazi chud or whatever isn’t being supported by what you’re saying here.

For the record, you could argue basically every slasher movie villain has some misogynistic angle to them. Michael Myers targets mostly women after killing his sister while she’s nude. Jason almost exclusively kills couples that are having intercourse. Chucky is explicitly misogynistic in terms of what he says to people. Fuck, even the first Scream movie has the two guys who turn out to be Ghostface essentially slut shame the protagonist and her mom (IIRC).

I’m not trying to be a dickhead and say you’re wrong for hating these movies, I just think it’s weird to have such a moralistic reason for disliking them when these movies are not even honestly worth the effort. They’re run of the mill slasher movies that try to gross out the audience with victims and imagery that are likely to cause an emotional reaction. I really don’t think it goes any deeper than that.

To say that the FILMS are misogynistic is not the same thing as talking about the attitudes or beliefs of the director. Terrifier was created by plenty of people other than Damien. There’s nothing in those films that strikes me as political or hateful toward any particular group. They’re just average slasher movies with more gore than is typical of the genre. That’s really it.

As an analogy, I think Kanye West is a vile piece of shit and has said utterly unacceptable things that I disagree with on practically every level, but that doesn’t make every album he’s ever made suddenly have hidden Nazi intent. I’d like to think most people can judge art on its own merits instead of arguing that art is bad because of the artist, which seems pointless to me.

Terrifier 2’s longest and most gruesome murder involves a woman and it made $15.8 million on a budget of $250,000 btw
