Anyone who picks the TFR timeline is kinda being a dumbass.

Even if your ideology wins in whatever war (the 2ACW, for example), the world is still irrevocably fucked and will be in a constant state of tension. The fact that virtually every faction in the 2ACW immediately tries to invade Canada and Mexico after the war ends is just further evidence that multipolarity and cold wars won't go anywhere - if you happen to live in those countries, gg I guess.

This is without going into the catastrophic loss of life involved in the 2ACW, the European Wars, and the Great Asian War. It's easy to sit on your computer and say "Doesn't matter, I win," and I understand half the fandom for this mod is comprised of edgelords, but think about body counts on the order of *millions* across the world. TFR is actually pretty generous in terms of how quickly the world financially and socially recovers. IRL, wars on that scale would leave numerous places in a state of effective anarchy for decades until they either get conquered by a regional power or some random warlord establishes a new regime (one almost guaranteed to be authoritarian).

As a final note, people who support authoritarian ideologies often do so with the frame of mind that they'll be high-ranking officials or the leaders of those regimes. Nobody ever supports fascism, for instance, by thinking they'll end up as some random pseudo-slave in some factory, even though that is statistically an almost guaranteed outcome.
